Nearly Headless Ned
Needless to this sucks. Only read The Tooth Fairy and that was excellent. Will have to try some more. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/09/graham-joyce-in-remembrance
RedEyedGhost
Damn. I knew he'd been sick for awhile now, but hadn't heard he'd taken a turn for the worse. I has already planned to read The Year of the Ladybird as my next book. Now I'm sad. He's definitely one of my favorite authors.
Isis
I just saw this on twitter. How awful... and what a loss. So sad. Some of his books are right up there in my favourite works of fantasy, and the rest of this work was better than most other fantasy being published today. I must get hold of the last couple of titles of his which I've not read yet, and then do a huge re-read. :(
Deedles
How awful. A young man. I read the linked essay from tor.com and it was lovely. It is a loss.
Calibandar
Shocking. His last blog from august expressed hope of a new treatment. Now it's done.First heard about it last year just after Iain Banks. Another great writer taken early. RIP, Graham.

farseer2
It's always sad, when a talented creator disappears. :frown5:
Nearly Headless Ned
Joyce, Banks and Robert Holdstock. All excellent British writers dying far too young in recent years.
Calibandar
Joyce, Banks and Robert Holdstock. All excellent British writers dying far too young in recent years. Exactly what I was thinking of as well, Holdstock in particular was a writer who has some in common with Joyce in terms of his atmosphere, both of them very talented.
