honeyed chicken
I will be using this list to help me guess future themes - just ideas to check. :)
Howlin' Howland
I had a really long comment about the scoring and accidently bumped my keyboard and deleted it. My longwinded point was that the scoring should reward players for making easy clues. Also, I think the registry should include a list of the scoring system for the different games. yomi
You don't think that the links to the game threads, where the scoring system is explained in the opening posts, suffices?
Howlin' Howland
You don't think that the links to the game threads, where the scoring system is explained in the opening posts, suffices? Wouldn't it suffice to explain the host, and winner too? The whole point of a registry is to make a quick reference. And the scoring in this game is particularly awkward, so having a quick reference to it would probably help future hosts.
yomi
Well, it was a theme registry until I got bored and listed some other things as well. Anyway I included the scoring system and I think it was a good idea , in part because it made me aware of an inconsistency between the OP of the second game and the first round scoring... Lady Blizzardborn
Little note on the scoring for game 2. Favorite clue is 3 points. If two players tie, they each get 2 points. If three or more players tie, they each get 1 point. If no clue gets at least three votes, no favorite clue points are awarded for the round.

yomi
A first idea for sorting the themes... it certainly needs more work: Family relations:Youngest sibling / youngest childCharacters who are theorized to have Targaryen bloodCharacters who fathered at least one daughterCharacters with (known) Targaryen ancestryRelatives of Kingsguards Characters' actions:Wedded during the course of the ASOIF booksServed or helped a major POV characterHave knowingly hidden or concealed their real identity at some pointSailed the Narrow SeaCharacters who had consensual, extramarital sexCharacters who said "Words are wind" Miscellaneous:Baldness / characters described at some points as either bald or baldingDead charactersEssosi originCharacters who have nicknames that start with the word "The"Characters who are hated by fansThe first letters of the characters' first names formed the words 'North remembers'Characters who have a namesake in the Frey familyCharacters appearing in the prologuesChildren born 290 AC and laterCharacters with broken betrothals So, what are your thoughts and ideas for improvement? Dolorous Gabe
As my Acrophilia game 5 thread is now locked, I thought I'd bump this up to bring attention to the fact that we have not decided upon a host for the next game. I know Ser Not Appearing has consistently expressed interest in one day hosting a magical game and Rhaena Sandship is hoping to host game 7. Any more thoughts on the subject? Any more prospective hosts? In response to yomi's above post, I have no ideas for improvement. I love what you've done with this.
yomi
Oh, I forgot updating since the sign-up phase of your game :blushing: I hope I remembered your themes correctly?
Dolorous Gabe
Yeah that's fine, they give the gist of what the my themes were. Prospective hosts anywhere? It doesn't have to start right away. A short break is usually quite useful.
