Book Release Delayed?

Unless the international release date is changed from october 28th, it looks like those of us in the UK will have to wait until November 20th to get our hands on this.

If this is a case that the U.S. release stays where it is, this really sucks for us 😠

Very disgruntled email sent to Amazon UK. I would ask any others who are similarly effected send something similar to them.

How did they respond to you? I got some wishy-washy response that in.a long-winded way said they can't tell me whether or not I will have the book on the release date, and that it is "subject to change"etc. Casually ignoring that I'd mentioned that elsewhere the book was confirmed.as this release date

Just had a very terse online chat with Amazon. I must have sounded like a panicky addict. In the end, they changed my delivery date to 5 to 7 November. It is still late, but I will be busy in the half-term week anyway, and doing a re-read now.

So this means the fault lies with amazon and we can buy the book the 28th at waterstones? I'll walk by one tomorrow and check. Will let you guys know.

Just received this email from Amazon.co.uk, a few days after the other email about the delay:

"We have received new release date information related to the order you placed on March 09 2014 (Order# ...).

The items listed below will actually be dispatched sooner than we had originally expected based on the new release date:

Martin, George R. R. "The World of Ice and Fire (Song of Ice & Fire)"
Previous estimated arrival date: November 27 2014 - December 02 2014
New estimated arrival date: November 05 2014 - November 10 2014"

So I guess that delay was an error.

You sure you don't mean 28th October 2014 as the new arrival date? Or did you not select same day delivery? Because I've just got the same e-mail but with 28th October rather than 10th November.
