If you could fuse two kinds of foods together...

What would you go with?

Play it safe with some Tex-Mex? (Oh, don't try Indian-Mexican in India. It's terrible.)

Maybe try a Chinese-Indian fusion? If you're in NYC check out Mirch.

Or French-Indian? Philly's restaurant school has some of kind of Daal-Escargo. NO.

Lebanese-Italian? There used to be a place in DC that did this, you could get a lasagna with Middle Eastern spices. Sad it's gone, that was so good.

Anything based on the holy tirinity*, fused with anything else based on the holy trinity. That would be just insane though.

Seriously though, every cheese board needs chocolate.

There's also a place in town here that fuses English with Thai; and it works really, really well; even though it has no right to do so.

*HT, bacon, garlic and chocolate - any food can be improved with the addition of one of these - except each other.

Dates and spinach. I want the taste, texture and appearance of the dates with the nutritional profile and calorie content of the spinach. Ditto cheese and spinach, cheesecake and spinach, chocolate and spinach, cookies and spinach (why is it that all good things start with c?)... you get the picture.

Peanut butter and butter is pretty good. IMOHO, of course.

Hey, I like that too! Better than PB&J.

My personal dream is to fuse potato soup and bacon. Fuse that tasty (but messy) soup into a solid lunch meat that can be made into a sandwich. I would make potato soup sandwiches and travel the world and have adventures instead of being tied down to a place with bowls. *sigh*

(I already put bacon into the soup, and serve it with bread - this is not a new taste explosion, but one of practicality. It is my favorite comfort food)

indian and mexican could be fun. i am deeply in love with both cuisines and i think they could become very complimentary to one another.

had a chat with a sous chef recently as i was making a sausage that was studded with chunks of my maple bacon. it was a very good sausage. he remarked that he felt bacon 'was played out.' bacon has become a 'cool' ingredient. but, i still think it is a wonderful accent and addition to many things.

I had a burger with kimchi, pepperjack, and habanero mayo.... at a Welsh-themed pub .

God I love kimchi. Also, Korean pork - I love eating that in a sandwich.

I think there's promise in a Korean-Indian fusion, but I haven't gotten it quite right yet...

I always put butter under my peanut butter on toast. It just makes it so much smoother and wonderful.

LooN,

A couple of years ago I saw Bacon-Sausage.

On Sausage Day, basically family holiday on my dad's side of the family, there are always a couple people who add bacon to their sausage.
