dread pirate davos
I've always liked the idea of film clubs, where everyone watches a film then discuss and debate it afterwards. I know there's threads for favourite films and just specific films, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a more structured and on going thread series with a new film each week or month or whatever. I know there's websites around for this but I thought I'd ask here first? Anyone interested? So far suggestions for films have been: -Let the right one in (original and subtitled)-Carrie (2013)- A work of David Fincher eg Zodiac,se7en-Alien-The cabin in the woods

dread pirate davos
Depending if the movies were in my ownership or on Netflix, then sure!! Yeah I was thinking films that are easily obtainable or what have you. I'm not made of money myself. In fact I was thinking it would be fairest to vote or come to a group consensus on what to watch. I was also thinking since 'halloween is coming up maybe start out with a horror. Though by no means think of me as the boss, any ideas should be hashed out together. If we get enough participants

drawkcabi
don't know how good of an idea it is but I see the Carrie remake with Chloe Moretz is available on Netflix. I've never seen it...nor the original in its entirety for that matter. I'd participate in the club...as long as it's not too many foreign films from a u.s. centric perspective. I like subtitled movies now and then but not on a regular basis.

TheKingoftheSevenKingdoms
I loved film, so why not? What film should be discuss first? My suggestion: since this is really the week of David Fincher, we should discuss his filmography. I think we should talk about either se7en or Zodiac
TheKingoftheSevenKingdoms
What's the first rule of film club? 1. We don't talk about film club 2. We don't Talk about Film Club 3. If the thread becomes to long and people are bored, we stop discussing the film 4. Couple fifty guys at a time 5. One film at a time 6. Keep all your clothes on cause no one wants to see what's underneath unless your a perve. 7. Film discussions shall go long as long as we want them too. 8. If this is your first time in the club, you have to discuss! Taken from fight club!
Teng Ai Hui
I'm in! This being October, I did a google search of "top 10 horror movies of the last 10 years". The movie that stood out for me was "Let the Right One In," though I'm not sure if it is easily available for everyone.
