The struggle is real out here. I just finished the 4th book but don't have anyone to talk to about ASOIAF, so I'm glad this place exist.

Ok, I loved this book. I had heard bad things about this book but wanted to see for myself, and I wasn't let down at all.

  1. The Dorne and Iron Island chapters are soo refreshing and interesting. It's fun to dig into new characters, especially from those two parts of this world. It's about time we get to know them and see the other side of the coin. You can sense that the players in Dorne have something cooking and have been for a long time. Arianne's in for a real struggle, I feel. I knew I would enjoy the Dorne chapters but did not expect to LOVE the Iron Island plot. The Reaver is probably one of the most badass chapters in all of the books...seven hells. The Kingsmoot was interesting because we actually got to see the choosing of a new ruler. Asha and Victarion's relationship is nice because there doesn't seem to be a lot of affection between ironborn characters and these two share a subtly sweet connection. I feel Damphair is underrated. He's little borther in this situation but he may be the strongest of them all. I don't know if it's real or not but the Dragonhorn and it's reveal was clever and unexpected. Nice way to connect the ironborn to the situation in the east. That chapter was wild. Excited to watch the rest play out.
