Can you edit the subject line of the thread to include the year. Believe it or not, it helps a lot and there are times when I search for this thread by season. You can edit a thread subject line by editing the first post using the Full Editor option.

On topic, I was all over Bell. Can't say I fully estimated the receiving yards, but I did think the cupboard was getting pretty bare in Pittsburgh other than Antonio. Markus did not impress me.

Yeah Wheaton looked alright week 1 and 2, but has been a dud since. Pretty disappointing because I thought he may do alright as a number 2 when given the chance.

Not going to get too excited, but Martavis Bryant made a nice catch last night for the TD so we'll see what he can do now that he isn't injured.

I'll second that. However, there's still A LOT to prove before I get excited about this season.

Very, very true! Last few seasons have been a disappointment. Nice to see them win at least (when I can actually watch the games, I live in Atlanta).

I'll always be a Steeler fan though, through thick and thin!

I hope I didn't screw up on not putting a claim in for Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon. I have F-Jax, but also an array of other decent backs so I think I should be fine, but one does worry. :ack:

I tried speculative grabs of Bryce Brown in just about every league I'm in, with mixed success, because he seems to have all the tools and physical attributes to shine...but, of course, that probably means he won't ;)

In the leagues where I also have FJax, I kept him mainly because he has some nice matchups during the fantasy playoffs. I hope he can come back strong right out of the gate.

Yeah Brown had his moments with the Eagles so we'll see.

And yeah I'm holding onto him too for the exact reason you said. If a player who produces is out for a month I think I can manage to hold onto him. Any longer than that is iffy. Major Bye week concerns for me week 9 but I think I'll be alright.

Got tied up at work and did not get to update my lineups. I think I have San Diego D (which is not doing too bad) playing and Hillman on the bench in a couple of leagues.

I do have Sanders in Dynasty, so that is good.

Playing against Sanders. :bs:

Which WR would you guys rather have for the rest of the season - Brian Quick or Michael Crabtree?

I have Crabtree as my WR4 right now in my money league, and was just offered Quick. Its a tough call. Crab has been disappointing all year, and hasn't been playing all of the snaps in a crowded group of WR in San Francisco. Have to wonder if his foot is still bothering him. On the positive side, he does have the bye to get full healthy right now. But on the negative side, Stevie Johnson seems to be taking on more of a role in recent weeks, and is playing well. So who knows how things play out.

Meanwhile, Quick has been the top WR in St. Louis. But after a strong start, he's slowed down a lot the past few weeks. Was that because they had tough matchups against SF and Seattle? Plus they ran a lot with a big lead against the Seahawks. I feel like he could get back on track in the next few weeks, and he's more of a full time player than Crabtree right now. But ultimately he's unproven, and there's also a good chance his strong opening month was just a mirage.

Which one would you guys pick?

Also - if you are in favor of trading for Quick, would you start him over Davante Adams this week? Quick is against KC, while Adams has a potential shootout against the Saints.

I picked Quick off of waivers after week 2 I believe. I like him a lot, but as you said, he's slowed down since they played the Eagles.

Good point about Crabtree possibly being hurt still.

This is a tough call, but I'd stick with Crab. I think he's their best playmaker, and due to have big games.

Gotta say, Moncrief and the Dolphins D were two nice waiver wire pick ups for me this week. 45 pts between the two of them.

And Larry Fitzgerald is finally waking up.

I was feeling good this morning at halftime when my opponent had the Lions D and Golden Tate (21 pts against and about 11 yds rec.) Then the second half made me want to throw up. (Pretty sure I picked the Lions for about 14 pts in the Westeros Pickem though)

But I just put 200 pts+ in the C league, so life is good!

Thanks for the advice - fortunately, I ended up agreeing with you and keeping Crabtree. Now Quick is out for the season. Dodged a bullet there.

-------

As for this week - currently have 2 wins set (in westeros B and C), and my 3 other games are all up in the air.

Money league - need 8 points from Tony Romo

Westeros A - need 11 points from Demarco Murray

Thunderdome - need Dez to score less than 8 points

Going to be an interesting night.
