Question for everyone on this board

Would you prefer an ending to this series by George R R Martin which infuriates you at how bad it is, or would you prefer no ending to the series at all?

Given how nobody will be permitted to step in and finish the series in light of Martin's death, you'd be left to endlessly speculate over what could have been. Is that preferable to a certain conclusion which you disagree with?

Would you rather have diarrhea the rest of your life and be famous

Or

Contract & survive ebola once a year and be rich

There is no right answer.

It doesn't matter how the story ends, someone will not like it. And someone will think they could have done a better work.

Bingo. Some will love it, some will like it, others will accept it and some just will hate it.

There's no pleasing everyone.

I take issue with the question as it asks about a hypothetical situation which is impossible and cannot exist. GRRM's ending may infuriate me, but it would not be "bad."

Actually, we would not be left wondering about all of it, as the publisher has permission to release the summary of the plot he sent way back when he started.
