Sword of the Morgan
I guess I'd take the ending, because not knowing would be too tough.
The Gallows Knight
Eh, if whoever holds his estate after his and his wife's times likes money the ending can be ghost written regardless of his desires. I would much rather know what he wanted though, even though I am guessing it is heading towards an ending that will irk me as it is.
gmavridis
It's GRRM's story - whatever ending he has planned is the right one. Right to the point. It's his story and it will have the ending he decides whether you like it or not.
Northernmonkey
I don't really understand the question. Surely everyone wants to read GRRM's ending and no-one elses? Why wouldn't you?
Ser Cold Fingers
Would you prefer an ending to this series by George R R Martin which infuriates you at how bad it is, or would you prefer no ending to the series at all?Given how nobody will be permitted to step in and finish the series in light of Martin's death, you'd be left to endlessly speculate over what could have been. Is that preferable to a certain conclusion which you disagree with? Would you rather have diarrhea the rest of your life and be famousOrContract & survive ebola once a year and be rich There is no right answer. King of Vaes Tolorro
this is like the chicken or the egg man, i'd like niether. The egg came first. The chicken's ancestors laid the egg that hatched into a Chicken.

sj4iy
It doesn't matter how the story ends, someone will not like it. And someone will think they could have done a better work. Bingo. Some will love it, some will like it, others will accept it and some just will hate it. There's no pleasing everyone.
Lady Blizzardborn
Would you prefer an ending to this series by George R R Martin which infuriates you at how bad it is, or would you prefer no ending to the series at all?Given how nobody will be permitted to step in and finish the series in light of Martin's death, you'd be left to endlessly speculate over what could have been. Is that preferable to a certain conclusion which you disagree with?I take issue with the question as it asks about a hypothetical situation which is impossible and cannot exist. GRRM's ending may infuriate me, but it would not be "bad." Actually, we would not be left wondering about all of it, as the publisher has permission to release the summary of the plot he sent way back when he started. The Santa of House Claus
I'd prefer a bad ending, as in an ending I disagree with over no ending. Now a bad ending that is rushed or weak or unpolished, no I would take no ending.
Michael Snow
Closure is important - I'd rather have a bad ending than no ending at all.

A spoon of knife and fork
I don't care how it ends - the only bad ending would be some kind of petering out with nothing really having been resolved.
