Robin Hobb & the wit

Hi all, im about to start a series of illustrations based around the wit in Hobbs work. I am trying to collect some of the tales told but I'm finding it difficult, I seem too remember a story about a girl who's body dies and lives the rest of her life inside a deer. I'm having trouble finding this and other related tales in the books and I havn't got time to do a massive re-read, so if anybody out there knows them off the top of there head, or even what books to find them in I will be forever in your debt.

Most of them are in Fools Errand, near the beginning.

Any of the chapter preludes that sign off "-Badgerlocks Old Blood Tales" in the Tawny Man trilogy/.

There may be a few in Assassins Quest, in the chapter with Black Rolf

And a few others in dialogue scattered throughout all the books, particularly in Assassins Apprentice.

The Piebald Prince is actually a short story published separately, although I havent read it.

Can I ask what the illustrations are for? I would love to see some illustrations of the Wit!

Thanks for all that it's going to make my life a lot easier, the illustrations are just for myself really just portfolio work I'm finding it hard too find well know book that are not illustrated to deat, I know john Howe done some work for the covers but his work is more on the action side of things where as I want to depict the relationships of characters and stuff like that so thought the wit was the perfect place to start i am going to do some very detailed pencil drawing then mabey at some point watercolour painting

Yeah that is a good one! I got a job ahead of me rooting all this out them books! But hey the books are great I might even get through night eyes death without bursting into tears like a 4 year old

I just read through that yesterday evening (I got spoiled about his death on this forum, but I did not know which book it would happen in, though it was pretty easy to guess it would happen anyway, since it was mentioned plenty of times how old and frail and tired Nighteyes has become) and I did not feel like crying over it ... I was just happy that they were together and they said goodbye in peace. I feared it would happen in a battle, when they were apart. But peacefully, in their sleep - it was calm, not too sentimental, and made me think this was the prettiest parting they could have.
