Snarky
So I just found out maggy the frog will be in season 5, and Brandon Stark through a flashback. What other flashbacks do you think they'll be? http://www.vanityfair.com/vf-hollywood/2014/09/tywin-lannister-returning-to-game-of-thrones
Pod The Impaler
Should be in the TV forum. Anyway, Tywin will be back in cadaver form for his funeral.
Stannis's birthright
Tywin will probably be in scenes with young Cersi as well
lady jellybean
I was wondering how they were going to do maggy the frog. I would rather have a flashback of the TOJ than brandon.
Lady Blizzardborn
But lady jellybean, what if we get to see Brandon's duel with Littlefinger?
Robb_Warged
I'd love to see Robb again. Robb/Cat argument over Jon being named heir scene?
Nittanian
A Brandon flashback was filmed for the original pilot; nothing is mentioned about a Brandon flashback for season 5.
Wight Shrute
What if he's in the scene where he and rickard are burned by aerys from jaimes point of view that would be intense
Rob Snow
Is it just me, or is this flashback format new to GOT. I thought I read somewhere that D&D purposefully avoided doing flashbacks.

lady jellybean
In an interview in spain they said they were starting to do flashbacks and dreams this season. They just couldnt avoid it anymore.
Steelborn
They already have made dreams before, but the flashbacks are new. We may even see mentions of more than one prophecy if they are that important later (which they were avoiding as well).
born amidst snow and corn
I was wondering how they were going to do maggy the frog. I would rather have a flashback of the TOJ than brandon. A tower of joy flashback will reveal whether r+l=j or not, they can never do it as subtle as it is in the books.
Booknerd2
I never saw that Aerys/Brandon screenshot. Never looked into anything from the pilot. Really, without that link I would never have seen that picture, so thanks. At first I looked quick and thought it was a photoshop job. LOL! Then I thought it was Sean Bean. They resemble each other. But man, I don't care how blurry that background is, the Mad King looks eerie. It freaked me out because it reminded me of one piece of fan art I saw in particular. That pic is on a few places on the net. There are three different screenshots that I am aware of, and the only way I could tell is that Brandon's mouth, the expression is different in all three, and the distance between him and Aerys differs. But crap, there is one where the hair is so silver like the artwork were are used too and you can tell the hair is long. The crown looks silvery. And one pic was cool because I could swear by all hell, it looks like a faint lavender haze where the eyes should be. Could be that somebody fooled with it, or it is me. But it looks cool. His head is slightly tilted to the side, and he is so calm it is even eerier. But Brandon's face and all the blood is a moving reminder of just how bad that scene was. People really flipped out over the RW visually. If we would have had or ever do get Brandon and Rickard, it would be a big reaction I am sure. Especially for people who don't read the books and won't expect it. Er, I don't like the not facing him part. Too far away for how I pictured it too, unless Rickard is closer and we don't see it in the shot. I have no idea.

Lady Blizzardborn
Oh I so didnt think of that. I stand corrected, you have an amazing mind! Thank you. :blushing: I hope it works during NaNoWriMo. :) When D&D started they had three rules, all of which they have had to abandon: no dreams; no prophecies; no flashbacks. I think I got that right. Not 100% certain on the dreams one. But turns out all three are crucial to the story.
