martenstark
I read the books but , can't remember if she thinks about this. She can't give birth anymore. There is no any Targaryen to inherit her (not counting the boy is called Aegon) . I don't think any highborn lord of Westeros will accept a Essosi rounder pederast for his 'King'. dsug
Yeah that will be interesting because it is physically impossible for her to produce an heir and carry on her dynasty. Perhaps, depending on how the story progresses obviously, she can install Aegon or one of his children as her heir.
Whitering
Well, for starters, half of the board members here would vomit and rage, it would be hilarious. Many of us doubt that she is infertile, and that she may in fact have had an early stage miscarriage whilst in the desert with Drogon. We don't have enough information. There is no reason if she was accepted as Queen that she couldn't appoint an heir.

However either Jon (if he's a Targ) or fAegon would inherit and marry someone to continue on the line.
Gibzit
Im pretty sure the westerosi lords will accept dany as their queen if she roasts anyone who dosen't.

shadow282
She'll screw it up? I think the lesson we can take from Mereen, besides the fact that Mereen is incredibly boring, is that Dany is a terrible queen. So she won't keep it long enough for not having an heir to be a problem.
MakeThemBurn
She'll screw it up? I think the lesson we can take from Mereen, besides the fact that Mereen is incredibly boring, is that Dany is a terrible queen. So she won't keep it long enough for not having an heir to be a problem.I find it somewhat ironic that everyone is so quick to label her a horrible leader because of what happened in Mereen. She didn't and couldn't have control over most of the issues, such as blood flux, famine, nightly assasinations, declarations of war. Ultimately her downfall was kindness which is hilarious since Dany acted just like western politicians do by choosing to compromise instead of using force. Now she gets attacked for doing exactly like we want politicians to act.As far as Dany sitting on the iron throne, the show version of the house of the undying made it very clear that it's not going to happen. She might get it just to lose it in the next chapter, though.

aFeastForDragons
If she takes the throne the free cities and Slaver's Bay will send their armies to sack King's Landing for all the trouble she caused the region. Not to mention how f'ed Westeros will be after another war.

Not to mention how f'ed Westeros will be after another war. If there is one thing that won't ever happen, it's this. Because the Free Cities are not insane. During the last 400 years, Westeros has had a 100% success rate in any war with the Free Cities. That includes weak regions on their own, small expeditionary forces and rogue princes waging a private war without the backing of their brother the king. David Selig
I still don't get why people take Mirri's claim that Dany can't have children, which was clearly made as a parting shot, as a gospel.

That is only really ever said by MMD, which Dany believes completely. It could be that it was only a lie.

I marvel at that as well. But that's what Dany is planning with. Or rather, not planning.
Pox Americana
plz no She'll roast the Usurper's dogs, whom I happen to like. Then anyone who defies her reign. Soon, it's anyone who doesn't pay taxes, then innocent men, women, and children. Burn them all.... burn them all. Dany's deep into that Targ madness. Arya Stark Rules
She can call for a great council before death? If not as others pointed there will be a civil war since there is no heir
Pod The Impaler
I still don't get why people take Mirri's claim that Dany can't have children, which was clearly made as a parting shot, as a gospel. Yup. For all we know, she will bbear a living child, and her Sun and Stars will return to her side as a ghost and say "Atta girl! Push !" And then fade away to the Night Lands again. Depending what sort of mental state Dany would get to this point in, I think she'd have some fair big things she wantsd to do. Well, aside from deal with the Otherpocalypse. Malik Ambar
For some reason, I feel in the end that neither Daenerys or Jon will rule (willingly, if they survive). IDK, the way their arcs are shaping up something doesnt feel right. Then again I believe Tyrion will choose to go to the Free Cities instead of The Rock if he survives, so :dunno:
