Mormont, Daenerys & Asshai questions leading to end result theory

Has anyone noticed that Mormont seems to be obsessed with Daenerys making her way to Asshai as he suggests this to her a few times, why does he do this like I'm quite sure his never been further than Vaes Dothrak before coming into contact with Daenerys so he wouldn't know what type of dangers could lie in Asshai except for stories so is Mormont in league with someone else (possibly Varys as that's who he got his pardon thru) but then why Asshai what could Daenerys possibly gain by going there aside from learning more about Dragons but with that lies great dangers with entering a land that is famed for magic (mostly being on the darker side) as wouldn't the people there want to cease her to take possession of the Dragons for their own gain/magic?

But this is where I have come up with a theory (not sure if it's been suggested already if so my bad but I don't have time to go through them all)

After Mereen she decides to go on another let's waste more time freeing slaves mission in Volantis there she comes into contact with the temple of R'hllor or the woman Tyrion spoke to in the Merchant house she is then directed to Asshai which she finally goes to, there she is shown a short cut to Westeros that goes from the shadow lands to the land of always winter beyond the wall at this point the white walkers are at the wall and Aegon (who is Rhaegar's true son) is on the Iron Throne Jon Snow has discovered his parentage and the Dragon eggs in the crypts of Winterfell but when they hatch they are in fact Ice Dragons (due to hatching in the North) Jon then claims his name as Jon Targaryen-Stark and seeks out King Aegon VI they unite and make way to the Wall to save the realm unaware that Daenerys has landed in the lands of always winter and is fighting the white walkers from behind whist many more are at the wall fighting the Nights Watch and the Nights King fighting Melisandre.

Daenerys is fighting her way south to the wall and Jon and Aegon are making their way to the wall with the Ice Dragons (which grow a lot faster and larger than Fire Dragons) when both reach the wall the final battle really unfolds Daenerys thinks she is the rightful claimant to the Iron Throne and believes Jon and Aegon to be fakes so the Dance of Dragons 2.0 takes place at the wall with a big battle of Ice and Fire in which GRRM ends the books letting us draw up our own conclusions on who wins and what the final outcome is

Could this be possible if not then why

IIRC, GRRM has said that no one will visit Asshai, but it might be in a flashback. (And the same for Valyria.)

while i think youre right actually, i do hope youre wrong haha, if that makes any sense.

Quaithe herself, suggested her to go that route as well (To journey north, you must go south. To journey west, you must travel east). On the map, southeast is through asshai, eventually appearing northwest int he land of always winter.

This is the only method i see that daenerys could face The Others and the conflict at the wall. This also suggest, the heart of winter, and heart of darkness, are one in the same.

I think that Jorah mostly just wanted Dany as far from Westeros as possible when he suggested asshai. 2 reasons for this - first, she might legitimately be in danger from both dothraki and Westerosi assassins. second, he doesn't particularly want her invading westeros since then she wouldn't be as reliant on him.

I've always thought Dany would land near the wall ultimately. It would be very cool if Dany went over the North Pole to get to westeros. Don't thibk it's likely though, nor for her to ever reach asshai.

asshai, and the shadowlands, are one of the few lands that exist where an actual dragon other than her three may exist. it's where the eggs are from. Hell, there may be even more eggs. in addition to, practitioners of shadow/blood magic, and the rumors of all sorts of demonic beasts. this would be SO sick.

i kinda feel it's TOO fantasy for the tone ASOIAF has reached. Yes, i realize asoiaf IS a fantasy, but it's a fantasy in small doses (GRRM frequently comments on how great LOTR was for its RARE use of magic, etc). He's done a good job at keeping fantasy to a minimum, even in a fantasy novel. I think asshai would be an overkill all at once.

Still, i want this so bad.
