Westeros
An interesting viral marketing campaign from HBO for next year’s Game of Thrones has hit the web: Three-eyed Raven is a new site that allows users to sign up for Twitter or (in select countries) SMS notifications of “the sight”, short (and by short, we mean very short) teaser videos that provide a brief glimpse at the upcoming season. The first video—which you’ll receive a link to after signing up—features Arya and a hint of a location she’ll be spending a great deal of time at.Doubtless more teasers will drop in the coming months.Visit the Site! boojam
How HBO has changed, well at least some. Slowly, at a snails pace, they have looked to their foreign distribution trying to fix a market they seemed indifferent to. Seemingly , dragged like a stubborn mule HBO will launch a streaming video service, has launched a streaming service? Teasers and previews since season 2 have been cagey. Now this short grabber stuff! It has done pretty good WEB-Buzz. (GOT in general has been Buzz-worthy for some time now. It attracted Rupert Murdoch and scared his investors at the same time.) So the good Grey HBO , always number 1 in quality and production is juicing the bottom line... let's hope it does not hurt their adult programming which I find so appealing. If only their cockeyed biz model for series DVDs could be revamped, I think they are missing the money boat.
Conchobar
I have missed coming on here regularly. I wish there were more updates for Season 5. I really hope there are more people cast for the season as well, I worry that Griff will not be represented in the Series.
