I started a thread in the "A Dance with Dragons" section of the forum. Is there a way to move it to the "General" section without reposting and duplicating the the thread? i know this is a stupid question, but i'm not as computer savvy as most people are nowadays and could use some enlightening. Any help would be appreciated.

Users can't move threads. You'd need to ask a moderator. You can do that by reporting the thread. However, if the mods think it should stay where it is, for whatever reason, they might not move it.

Click the semi-visible Report button in the lower right corner (on the left of the Multiquote button, Report) of the first post of the thread that you think should be moved and ask to move it,

If you want your own thead moved then you can report your own thread.

Step 1. Open the thread.

Step 2. On first post (or offending post) click Report. this is on the left net to MultiQuote at the bottom of the post. Report only lights up when you move your mouse near it.

Step 3. fill in the Pop up box, Be polite and ask for thread to be moved.

Step 4. Wait.

You can also use this method to report other peoples posts if you think they should be brought ot a Mod's attention.
