Isobel Harper Posted December 20, 2014 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Hahaha, so I recently began reading A Dance of Dragons again, and lo and behold the delightful quote I've obtained from Tyrion I, page 20: Beneath his window six cherry trees stood sentinel around a marble pool, their slender branches bare and brown." I assume they're "bare and brown" because of winter. Or maybe it's this notorious "poisonous dirt." But standing "sentinel" leads me to believe they are move than just saplings, but full-grown trees. ETA: In case anyone has forgotten where Tyrion is, and can not deduce said location, he is in Braavos in Illyrio's home. ETA2: Dammit! Nevermind.
