Would anyone else be disappointed if...? (potential spoilers)

...Lady Stoneheart is the big surprise/event/supernatural thingy of the WoW prologue?

I've seen this suggested a lot after GRRM revealed that Jeyne Westerling will appear on the prologue, but I guess I'm expecting something new, especially in terms of a supernatural or magical something. I mean, Lady S is sure to show up heavily in the Jaime-Brienne storyline anyway, and she already bookended the aSoS epilogue. Like Varamyr's epilogue, I think her presence in the prologue could be a bit derivative

Anyone else feels the same? I'm personally hoping for Jeyne showing her great grandmother's prophetic powers, but that's just me...

I'd love for Jeyne to show those powers too and to use them on her awful mother! Several others come to mind as well. Its quite possible Lady Stoneheart can be in the prologue. I don't understand her hatred for Brienne though. Truly. Brienne is actively searching for her daughters. There are times I must admit, I simply don't understand the narrative at all. Of course, that's part of the reason I find it so fascinating.

I would like it. Seeing more of her is a welcome thought!

Kinda seems like once resurrected people follow one thing.

Dondarrion: Serving the King's Justice no matter what

Catelyn: Getting revenge for the Red Wedding

She probably hates Brienne because she swore her sword to her and now she's cool with people involved with the Red Wedding.

Thing is, Brienne was caught calling out for Jaime multiple times, has a order from Tommen saying that the bearer is about the King's business and has a Valyarian steel sword with a lion head. To an outside observer, it looks like Brienne is working for the Lannisters, even if we know otherwise. I don't like the way Brienne was treated but stoneheart had a right to be upset, considering the evidence.

Jaime wasn't really part of the RW. He didn't know of it before it happened. Catelyn is the one who set him free though and he's doing his best to honor their agreement. Brienne being cool with Jaime is as much her fault as anyone's. She put the 2 of them together. Dondarrion wanted to bring the King's Justice to Gregor Clegane as ordered by the former Hand of the Former King. Perhaps once brought back to life they have a singlemindedness of purpose that cannot be overcome. Either that or they have an eerie resemblance to the White Walkers who remember and hate. Even their friends.

Lady Stoneheart could easily be a precurser to the power of the Lord of Light. Whether that plays a role in the fire vs ice storyline is yet to be seen obviously. I would not be disappointed if she is a catalyst for bigger things to come, but I would find it a bit of a let down if LS is a main foil in the grand scheme of things..

Where does it say she will be in the prologue and where does it say it will be some super crazy magical thing?

I wouldn't mind if Lady Stoneheart is in the prologue but obviously she can't be the main surprise or the main point of the prologue because we already know about her - that's what ASOS epilogue was for. Of course she could be part of some other event like rescuing Edmure and Jeyne. I would like it if Jeyne showed some magical or prophetic powers, that would be different.

She who? Stoneheart or Jeyne? GRRM said Jeyne will show up in the prologue, and I've seen a lot of reader speculation about Stoneheart and the BwB appearing there too, presumably to rescue Edmure. Also, every prologue so far has had a magical thing

I was kinda hoping for the Blackfish to descend on the Lannister party to free Edmure, Jeyne and the rest. The Blackfish with Robb's former Riverland allies but that is only wishful thinking. But perhaps it will be Stoneheart who shows up in Prologue and Blackfish will free the captors leaving the Twins...because he's awesome.

You didn't answer the question. Where did these things get published? As far as I can tell, nobody has said anything about prologues or magic. Yes, the prologues all have something magical in them. So do a ton of other chapters. From what I have read, GRRM said we will see Jeyne again but that was it. Nothing specific. A few reads of threads should show you that reader speculation here is foolish at best and Beyond crackpot at worst. Unless Grrm or another writer in his series says something concrete it means nothing. Speculation is just that. would you treat an illness based on some random person's forum speculation?

GRRM said it at last Comic-Con: "(...) Jeyne Westerling, who will appear on the prologue of the Winds of Winter" (paraphrasing, but it's probably on YouTube and in several other threads around here)

The magic part is my own speculation, but I'd say it's a safe guess considering every single prologue so far has featured some kind of magical or supernatural phenomenon

I wonder if Jeyne would be another LS in the making.

I see something like that.
