Lightbringer

Indeed, I trully belive his sword is fake after the words of Aemon about it... but some belive that the legend of the sword's creation is metaphorical and that it doesn't really exist at all in general. In which case one may ask "But Melisandrae saw on her fire that Stannis is Azor Ahai reencarnated" and here is where the theorie of Davos being the Lightbringer of Stannis comes in. Since he's the Hand of the King, it's methaphorically the sword as the extension of his hand, he came out of the fire on the battle of the Blackwater... plus, light is usually asociated with Davos, as when he was being taken away from prision, Florent who was with him starts crying and asking for them to "don't take the light away".

I think Stannis knows his sword is false because I don't think he truly believes it himself.

I agree with this. Stannis is not dumb, and he's not a religious fanatic. He sees himself as the rightful king, defending (or rather, trying to win) his throne. And now he is also protecting the realm.

He associates with Mel because, despite the sword being a little iffy, the red woman clearly has power. Without her, Stannis stands no chance of winning, and he knows this. With her, he just might. So he goes along with it, even if he looks embarrassed every time she does her little presentation of "Azor Ahai and Lightbringer". He is a practical man, he does what he has to do to accomplish his goal.

Mel's fatal (well, most fatal) flaw is that she is so stubbornly zealous that she will use whatever powers she wields (and make no doubt friends, she believe's she doing God's Work with all of her being) to fill in blanks to make her nearly perfect candidate for AA look just that more polished.

Also, re: her ability to Read her Fire Visions is on par with trying to get an illiterate child to read a picture book. She only has half of the media to work with and it'll lead to her undoing or lead to the undoing of other beloved characters.

Or I'm wrong, she'll continue to attempt to 're-forge' the Champion of fire, eventually get it right(and there by bringing about her own sword arm) and become AA Reborn her-own self. Admit it, it has some cute appeal!

What happened to the original lightbringer? And on that note, Aegon TC's sword?

It is unknown where the original lightbringer is, but Aegon's sword blackfyre, i think it is still held by one of the blackfyre's that still exist or in the golden company. I may be wrong and correct me if I am.

The sword may not be the real lightbringer, but that do not mean it isn't magical. Who else can boast that they have a sword that shine in the dark like a candle?

Stannis's sword is magical, but it just doesn't have power... if that makes any sense lol

I think Stannis believes his sword to be the real Lightbringer, he doesn't have much reason not to if he's convinced of all the other crazy shit, but he's quite dismissive of it. He points out to Davos how useless it is, even. I doubt he'd ever be in a position where he expects his sword to save the day.

Meastor Aemon, Renly, and Sallador Sand has an idea that lightbringer is not real. It won't play a role in the battle of ice, but I fear Stannis will meet his end if he and his army comes goes against the white walkers and realizes that his sword is false.

I dont think Stannis is under any illusion that his sword is lightbringer. Stannis is a pragmatist, he goes along with the lightbringer thing because it is the only thing getting him an army now. He is not foolish enough to charge into battle waving it about and suddenly go woops that doesn't work
