Hour of the Wolf
In ASoS, Ygrette is trying to convince Jon to skinny dip. Then this happens: "I don't go in at all," he said firmly, just before he heard Tormund Thunderfist bellowing for him (he hadn't, but never mind). I've always thought that this was the strangest line in the books. The part in brackets seems so out of place. It was intended to be comedic for sure, but it just seemed like it didn't fit with the rest of the story telling style. Maybe I'm wrong about this line, but every time I come across it I find it very distracting and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Beanis Buttershield
"Where do whores go?" Hah, I'm a fan of that line, I always gave a slight chuckle when Tyrion said it.. REALLY hoping the GRRM gives us the punchline

Duckfield
"I know I know oh oh oh" - for me this line is like nails on a chalkboard, it just doesn't sound right, I dunno why.. every time he said it I wanted to slap his stupid patchy face

markg171
What "peach thing?" From Stannis and Renly's parley Renly reaches under his cloak, and Stannis immediately goes for his sword, but Renly only brings out a peach, offering it to Stannis. Stannis retorts he did not come there to eat fruit, and Renly replies a man should never refuse a peach because life is short and as the Starks say, “Winter is Coming.” Stannis thinks this is a threat but Renly states it was not, and he tells Stannis he never liked him, but he is of his blood, and if it is Storm’s End he wants, he will give it to him. Stannis refuses, saying it is his. Renly states he refuses a peach, a castle and did not come to his wedding. - ACOK, Chapter 31 wiki "Renly offered me a peach. At our parley. Mocked me, defied me, threatened me, and offered me a peach. I thought he was drawing a blade and went for mine own. Was that his purpose, to make me show fear? Or was it one of his pointless jests? When he spoke of how sweet the peach was, did his words have some hidden meaning?” [The king gave a shake of the head, like a dog shaking a rabbit to snap its neck.] “Only Renly could vex me with a piece of fruit. He brought his doom on himself with his treason, but I did love him, Davos. I know that now. I swear, I will go to my grave thinking of my brother’s peach." - Stannis “Renly and his peach. In my dreams I see the juice running from his mouth, the blood from his throat. If he had done his duty by his brother, we would have smashed Lord Tywin. A victory even Robert could be proud of." - Stannis

Tyrell_like_Squirrel
"I know I know oh oh oh" - for me this line is like nails on a chalkboard, it just doesn't sound right, I dunno why.. every time he said it I wanted to slap his stupid patchy face I felt the same way until the show put it to music in season 3. Maybe its blasphemy to bring the show-canon into the books, but way they have it put to a melody makes it a lot less jarring. It bugged me so bad on the first read through. Good Guy Garlan
Not a line per se, but Mel bleeding down her thigh or from her vagina when she sees Bloodraven. Is like, what? I mean, I know it's certainly not the first time something that shouldn't be there comes out of Mel's vagina, but that part is just strange
