The Dragon Demands Posted January 1, 2015 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We've been discussing this: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/User_talk:The_Dragon_Demands The Citadel's Heraldry listing says that House Velaryon has a silver seahorse on a "sea green" background....but the image which Elyo and Lynda made uses teal, instead of sea green. The Dragon Demands Posted January 1, 2015 Author Share Posted January 1, 2015 Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spring_green#Sea_green (fortunately, "Teal" is listed immediately after "Sea Green" in the wiki article) The color used on the Citadel page is more bright blue-ish, closer to teal, while "Sea green" is more of a dark green. Compare the example colors on the wiki link. EDIT: The confusion seems to arise from the fact that definitions of "Sea Green" can vary from Teal to Dark Green. Crap. It's a loosely used term. Eagle of Seagard Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 I think the colouring is fine, but the main issue with the Velaryon arms on the wiki is the big 'black hole' in the tail... Is there a way to remove this without jeopardising the integrity of the image? There must be a way, but I'm not tech savvy enough to figure it out.....
