Hoosier427 Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I kind of have a theory on this and I don't know if it's been mentioned before but what if the valonquar is some unknown bastard of tywin. It would answer the question about the tunnel that Tyrion uses to meet Shae and about the comment that it was built for a previous hand. Also I feel there it is ironic and goes forward to show tywins hypercritical nature he has against Tyrion whoremongerings unless of course he didn't want Tyrion to produce a bastard born because Tywin had done so previously, and went to great lengths to cover it up. If that's the way things did go down who have we meet that wouldn't mind either strangling her or poisoning Cersei that's bastard born? Well the list is long for sure. One possible candidate who past isn't much known to us who wouldn't mind killing Cersei and has been smack in our faces the whole time is Bronn. When bronn met Tywin the first time, Tywin asked him who his father was and Bronn basically said nobody he would know. Tywin's reaction to this wasn't as I recall a normal reaction. I also think Kevin was in the room and was looking at bronn with a reaction more towards shock. But things were left at that because of tywins great lengths to cover up his sexual pryings at night. Feel free to tear this appart as I know it's not particularly strong and I don't have books to quote at the moment. Look at your hand, your fingers. Which is the "little brother"? Considering that Baelish is already responsible for the coronation and death of Joffrey, and also the coronation of Tommen (i.e. responsible for 2 gold crowns and 1 gold cloak) I strongly suspect he's the subject of the prophecy. His name "Littlefinger" is already a bit odd - almost as though it had been created for a purpose in the plot. Likewise, the Azor Ahai story and the bit about plunging the sword into his wife's heart. I strongly suspect that Azor Ahai reborn (whoever he may turn out to be - and I think the pointers are pretty clear) will also plunge the sword into "the heart of his wife", but I strongly believe this is supposed to be interpreted metaphorically (i.e. he will have to first kill/destroy/turn his back on that which he holds most dear to him). I mean that for all we know, the valonqar in the prophecy is not a literal "little brother", but has some other connotation. Much like "lion" in Dany's dreams means "Lannister" and "wolf" means "Stark" (and not literal animals). Baelish hails from the Fingers - and in particular, the *smallest* of the Fingers. Figuratively, the Fingers can be interpreted as brothers, and Baelish's birthplace can be interpreted as a "little brother" of sorts. There's no reason to insist on a literal "little brother". The way she treated him in FfC really seemed like it would lead somewhere. Even the sweetest kid has his breaking point. And of course this would be the worst case scenario for Cercei. And only Jon, Dany, and Tyrion were that I know of. Thus... dragonriders...? Thus the only way it makes sense is if you technically don't have to be a Targ to be a dragonrider. Unless... ... Either a 'little brother' in her own family or a little brother of someone she has wronged in a big way. Anyone still hoping to see Benjen Stark again? Cersei will like go Mad King on Kings Landing, like try to burn it down with the stashed wildfire and all that. Then Jamie will do it all again, only it will be his sickly sweet sister he has to put his sword through. Then if she somehow stabs him back whilst dying, they can die in each others arms just like Jamie wants. Thats the one.
