SerOathkeeper
I know similar topics have been discussed such as "Who will WIN the Iron Throne". But im not talking about that. Too many biases and half hearted prophecies make up peoples reasonings of who will WIN the throne. Im talking about who DESERVES it. The most commonly chosen Throne WINNERS are:-Aegon-Dany-Stannis-Jon-Lannisters remain there But next, this is who DESERVES it and i'll explain why.... STANNIS. The Targaryen bandwagoners can cry all you want about Robert stole the throne from the Targs, but I dont give a shit; and neither did the Targs seeing that they "usurped" 6 out of the 7 kingdoms; with intentions as ruling them as one kingdom all for themselves. Robert took the throne, becamse the KING, started the Baratheon era. Robert died, had no legitimate children of his own. I dont seeing either Gendry or Edric being legitimized. So this leaves Stannis and Stannis only. Any thoughts? -SerOK

SerOathkeeper
To quote Alexander the great: "to the strongest". In my opinion that is Stannis. Tested battle commander. Obeys laws. Doesnt have time for bullshit. Fair
239JMFL34109
i total get that, I am of the opinion that no one gets the throne both the "ruling as king" part and the physical thing But i feel like stannis deserve it as much as anyone else if not more so. jon rhaegar stark
Danny smart and young ....caring about smallpeople ....willing to learn and she has had some lessons which will help in ruling ....she will be ruthless when needed... all the above can be said to stannis but one difference is that Danny will be more powerful and charming... I dont think either of them going to survive the series
aryagonnakill#2
Gonna give my honest answer here, as corny as it would be I think Jon and Dany would be good rulers together. Dany cares but is kinda stupid at times, Jon is a bit more practical, but is not good at working with his own council.

After all he did support the true king in Robert's rebellion.

gamegeknee
The Targaryens never usurped any throne from any Valyrians. Yeah, not sure where he got that from. Aegon united the 7 kingdoms and created his own throne. As for most deserving, I say Stannis as of now. But ultimately the most deserving will be the person that wins the war, the throne, and the support of the people.
Rhaenys Targaryen III
IMO Stannis would be a terrible choice. - He can't even garner enough support for a decent army, Well maybe at the start, before he started burning every one that looked at him wrong.- Saladar Saan and other pirates/smugglers have left him, because he reneged on his promises to them.- He is under Melisendre's thrall completely now.- Wants to force Rhilor on everyone in the Seven Kingdoms, and will burn all who won't follow.- Is to stern to be loved by the people, and if ASOIaF has taught us anything, the person who sits on the throne needs equal amount love as respect. I'm not saying anyone else on the list would be perfect, but my word there are a lot better choices than Stannis. Jon or Aegon (if he's the real deal). But Stannis isn't a zealot, and he's not trying to convert everyone to R'hllor. He doesn't give the Northmen the choice of 'convert or die'; Stannis only has Melisandre because at present R'hllor seems like the God with the most tangible power to offer. The man himself isn't religious at all.
Sir Lee knot
No one "deserves" the Iron Throne. Westeros is overdue for a democracy. There is no one who should be king if you are coming from a moral standpoint. Kingdoms are a barbaric form of government that only benefit the people in power and shits on everyone else. If you are asking who is the real heir to the throne then the answer is not black and white. Dany and Stannis have equal claims to the throne. It really depends on who you support more. Westeros is centuries off from having democracy. I'd like a flash to about 700-800 years into the future to see what becomes of the IT and what kind of democracy they arrive at. Ser Duncan of Flea Bottom
Honest opinion? Nobody. I hope the throne is destroyed in the future and the seven kingdoms will be seven again or more, now that we have the Crownlands and the Riverlands who can become independent too. I think the Iron Throne is cursed, it always caused battles and many deaths.

Lion of the West
Since Stannis is the rightful king by Andal Law and tradition and he has worked his ass off to get it, I would say that Stannis is the most deserving of the throne. But then again, the throne don't belong to the one who deserves it, but to the one who is next in the line of succession or who can take it by strength. I think they should hold another council and let the Lords of the Great houses decide IF they should be ruled under Seven Kingdoms and IF so, who would rule. Not quite democracy, but closer than where they are now.
