Also if anyone would be interested to participate we host these over Skype and are happy to have new participants with new thoughts and voices - were also a fairly friendly bunch and generally have some good lit discussions. To be straight, I actually think SR's wrong about a lot of the casters having read Disciple or Neuropath. Also if anyone would be interested to participate we host these over Skype and are happy to have new participants with new thoughts and voices - were also a fairly friendly bunch and generally have some good lit discussions. I know I mention it off-cast everytime, and I think I was fairly ornery by the end of the lost Cast #4, but when FB suggested these Podcasts way back when it was entirely with the intent that we feature new members of the fandom each time. But yeah, I'll just put the feelers out again. We're looking to have another Cast, probably within the next two weeks, probably on a weekend. Madness Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I'd asked him over the summer if he might consider joining us for an episode (at that point we'd literally done TSACast #1). He didn't say no but he also didn't respond affirmatively. I think our best bet is to keep legitimizing the Cast by participating in more regular content-creation (as it has been very much a bunch of friends getting to know each other - which has happened much over the "hiatus"). This is either a great catch or ... nothing. If it’s not a coincidence it’s hard to see what the point is. The Cult of Yatwer was alerted to the Consult and their skin-spies then? In that case it would give some more meaning to the epigraph of the chapter which talks about how people have no inkling of what the actions of a single man can portend... SilentRoamer Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 The "aftercasts" are my favourite part as I am less conscious that people will be listening to my slurred English madness. To second what Madness has said we have spent a lot of time before and after casting just having general life chats in order to get some perspective on each other. I have always been a fan of a sort of "infocast" series of podcasts - so like "A brief History of Earwa" infocast and "The Nations of Earwa" infocast. Could break them into 20 minute nuggets and have them quite tight and focused with limited speakers and only a little deviation - I would also host these as separate casts as they are more informative and less opinion based. I personally would find it interesting and sure others would like a chance to shore up any gaps in their memory. I would be happy to participate in them. Another idea would be a summary cast for each book. Anyway just sounding off some ideas :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For example, Kellhus and Leweth, Cnaiür x Moënghus, Inrau vs. Synthese, Esmi possession, who are the Dûnyain, the Wutteät scene, and of course, the HitB scene... Same issue with the Cish I guess - how can people who can supposedly see souls have such a problem detecting skin spies? Then again only Psatma could see that one chick was a witch wearing a glamour, and then only after being inhabited by the Goddess. I suspect in some cases there is an interface of perception, a la Donald Hoffman, where what works heuristically is taken to be truth. So in the case of the Cish, detecting certain aspects of cognition worked to detect souls - whatever those are - for centuries [until skinspies confused things]. And of course a soul seems to be a rather paltry nuisance, given all you seem to get is the ability to apprehend paradox while having to contend with eternal damnation. Also, the one skinspy who had one seemed just as willing to go along with the plans of the Consult. Did Maitha kill that one, or is it around somewhere in the dungeons of the Thousand Temples?
