dany at the wall

Recommended Posts

Looking at the prophecies of dany in the house of the undying. I am thinking she will end up at the wall, fall in love with Jon, and be the nissa nissa for jon.

There is a telling of the red wedding. Which seems a little odd. What does she have to do with the starks?

There is a vision of a red door (her childhood home).

A silver haired man (assumed to be Rhaegar) naming his son Argon, the "Prince that was promised"....does this actually apply to Jon?

Dany sees Rhaegar die at the Trident and utter Lyana' s name.

A blue flower growing from a wall of ice.

A blue eyed king who casts no shadow raising a red sword. Is this Jon Snow the undead, similar to Lady Stoneheart but righteous rather than vengeful, brought back by the Lord of light.

A tall Lord with copper skin and silver gold hair beneath a banner with a fiery stallion....sounds very much like a stag engulfed in flames. Does this imply Dany will become a follower of the Lord of light? She still retains a dragon on her banner, not a fiery stallion....does this foretell the Dothraki copper skin (dragon) ,targaryan silver hair (Rhaegal),and gold hair of the golden crowned prince (Viserion) will fall under this new banner of a fiery stallion and this is the stallion that will mount the world? Such as the sun does....and the sun is what vanquishes the night.

She is referred to as Drogo' s moon...nissa means moon apparently...and there is there mentioning of the dragons first came about when the moon cracked open and thousands of dragons poured out....so we are going to see a huge battle between various types of dragons as well....Is there an ice dragon, or many, buried in the wall which the night's king will control when the wall comes down? Or will he bring them with him from the north? That would be interesting...ice dragons, shadow dragons, sea dragons (smoke rising up in bubbles as patchface said), and many other sorts of dragons I would guess.

And do each of her "child of three" prophecies refer to Jon in regards to love? A fire you must light for love....a mount you must ride for love...a treason you will know for love.

Is the lighting of fire for love the conversion to the Lord of light? The mount to ride for love be Jon? And the "treason" be that of Jon plunging his sword into her chest in order to wield lightening?

This is pretty obviously Stannis. Casts no shadow (because his shadow will leave him and become the shadow assasin), and his read sword that casts a light without head. And he has blue eyes - Jon does not.

It probably is Stannis, but careful not to speak in absolutes. These are ambiguous prophecies and we would be fools to dismiss alternatives.

As for Dany at the wall marrying Jon... I highly doubt it. They are not compatible.

I didn't catch on to him casting no shadow because of the shadow baby. Nice one! [emoji6]

His vow was to the nights watch. The only way I can see him marrying Dany was if he had already (for some other reason) broken his vow with the nightswatch first.

There are some who claim he is released from his vow when he gets killed (and resurrected), but I don't subscribe to that interpretation. I actually think some event or offer will make him voluntarily break his vows. And it will not be because he falls in love with Dany, at least not just that.

Edit: Forgot to say that I think the probability of him breaking his NW vows to be far greater than the probability of him marrying Dany.

I thought the point of the vision of Dany at the Wall was to see the Blue Rose there indicating that's Lyanna's offspring (Jon) was rooted there now.

She didn't just see it though, she also smelled it's sweetness. To me that implies some kind of relationship between them, be it romantic, or just as family members. Jon will mean something to her one way or another.

I don't buy into the theory of sweetness being a negative in Dany's storyline at all.

What is that supposed to mean? That they are not each other's type? People constantly hook up with people who are not their type.

Why the hell should Jon break his vows and marry Dany?

If he dies and is re-born, he can technically be said to not be bound by his vows anymore. Since they are only until he dies.

I don't think anyone in the 7K would buy that explanation. Besides, even if we assume that Jon actually dies and gets resurrected and thinks that he is released from his vows, it would not be a good idea to tell anyone that he is some sort of wight. The expected reactions of the NW brothers could be shoving a burning torch to him. And the normal people would just shun this creature.

Well, I just reiterated that explanation from another thread about what happens to Jon at the end of Dance...

Dany and Jon have complimentary parallel arcs it seems almost inevitable that they'll meet up and I definitely believe that they'll mean something to one another (whatever that may be).

That would be a pretty weak excuse.

Yeah, agreed.

A much more likely scenario is that while he is unconscious/near death, there is a panic at the Wall, and the wildlings turn on the remaining Brothers and massacre them, fearing that they'll loose their new safe haven.

When Jon awakes, there is no Watch to command.

Or he is rezzed into a new body so we can get rid of Kit Harrington! High-five! Anyone?

Even if Dany shows up at the wall on Drogon at the beginning of Winds, I just can't buy she and Jon would manage a relationship out of thin air in the course of two novels with a lot of other stuff going on.

A lot of people pare Jon off with Val and most of their interaction was in Dance. It can be done , especially as we don't know what kind of timeline the books will be in. I don't think the WfD is going to take a couple of month, more like years.
