Acrophobia #15 - Dear Diary, Won by Woofless

Welcome to the 15th edition of Acrophobia!

Thank you, Emmit for bringing this game to us.

The theme of this game is going to be Dear Diary. Diaries can be basically split up into two types. The first type is a journal where the writer records some of their most secret thoughts, making candid observations they might not want other people to see. Often these journals have a lock on them. Think of Oscar Wilde's diary. "I never travel without my diary, One should always have something sensational to read in the train." The second type is more of a record of events as they occur, often written by travellers, or by people who just want to record the events of their life. Think of Samuel Pepys' diary.

Here are the rules:

1. There will be 7 rounds.
Entries must only contain words that begin with the letters the Acronym provided; therefore, you may not stick in a word like a, the, of, and, etc or &, @. to make your answer make sense. Players will be asked to re-submit their answer if this happens. However, punctuation may be used, which may help increase meaning.

2. Players will most often be given ~72hours for entries each round. I will try to avoid 72 hour periods taking place solely over weekends, as a result, some deadlines may be extended. This is due to prior game having extended deadlines so everyone could participate.

3. Entries should be PM'd to the game host Fragile Bird. Please title your PM Acrophobia 15 - <insert your Board Name> and keep all communication to one thread so the host's inbox does not reach overload.
You may edit/change your entry until the submissions window is closed, just be sure to let me know in a new reply.

4. When all submissions are in, I will post them on this thread.
Entries are to be anonymous, so don't reveal which is your entry. Revealed entries will be disqualified.

5. Players will then have ~72hours to vote for their favorite entry.
Please vote in thread by putting your favorite entry first, preceded by the numeral 1. Then put your second choice preceded by the numeral 2. Finally put your third ranked entry third, preceded by the numeral 3. Please bold your selections and include the submissions number (each round each submission will be numbered).

For example:

1. <Submission #> Best
2. <Submission #> Second best
3. <Submission #> Third best

You may not, of course, vote for your own entry.
You may change your vote up until the voting window closes by editing your original voting post.

6. After Round 1 submissions are over, voting and the submissions for a new round will run simultaneously.

7. Points will be awarded as follows:
1 point for a submission
1 point for voting
3 points for someone choosing your answer as their top choice
2 points for someone choosing your answer as their second choice
1 point for someone choosing your answer as their third choice
4 points for having the answer with the most 1st place votes
Points will be added across the 7 rounds and the person with the most points will be the winner

8. New players may join at any time, both during the submission and voting.

I had a lot of trouble putting up this thread, which is why I just went to bed once it was done. I kept trying to close up the spacing and the editor has become so weird that several times when I tried to backspace, I was taken out of the new thread post and nothing was saved. I was getting to the point where I wanted to throw my computer through a window, except for the fact it was -40 outside with the wind and that would have made things pretty cold in the house. :P

I noticed somehow my quote from Oscar Wilde got butchered.

"I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train."

ROUND 1

Queen Margaery

Letters - ODRSTSJ

Our gal Marg has just married Renly. She's a young thing, but pretty outspoken. Takes after granny, I think. Lord only knows how they prepared her for the wedding, but from the scenes we see in the books she seems pretty happy. But what is she really writing in her diary?

DEADLINE: Thursday, February 19th, 11:59:59 pm Toronto time Countdown clock: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20150219T235959&p0=250&msg=Submission+date&csz=1

I have a good number of people ready to play, so I may as well post the first round now. :)

I see I am not the only one who is having problems with the Board. The problem, Yomi, was I had 4 messages from you which overfilled my e-mail box. I also had duplicates from other people.

If we have Board crashes, do not worry, I will extend the time.

Stuff is not opening for me, and when I try to open mail or threads I get that spinning symbol that just spins and spins and spins.
