Vee Stark
When Tyrion finds out who Aegon was why did he say Aegon? I mean he supposedly got murderd by the Mountain as a babe thats what everybody know what happend , Why was Tyrions first thought of him was that he was Aegon son of Ellia? Not a blackfyre or a Targs distant cousin or something like that?
corbon
When Tyrion finds out who Aegon was why did he say Aegon? I mean he supposedly got murderd by the Mountain as a babe thats what everybody know what happend , Why was Tyrions first thought of him was that he was Aegon son of Ellia? Not a blackfyre or a Targs distant cousin or something like that? The babe was famously unrecognisable - face smashed in. Griff is obviously Jon Connington, famously a friend and companion of Rhaegar, Aegon's father (thats why he was named Hand). Here's a childless former friend of Rhaegar Targaryen, a famous loyalist, incognito, with a kid just the right age pretending to be his son, and the right looks, clumsily disguised, clearly being trained for leadership... whats a dwarf to conclude? Vee Stark
Yeah... I guess. It is a little obvious :)
Arnhiem
Why was Tyrions first thought of him was that he was Aegon son of Ellia? In addition to putting together the clues like corbon said, Aegon being alive means that one of Twyin's greatest moments in life (presenting Robert with the dead heirs) was a sham. Tyrion would be jumping at a chance to mar the memory of his father.
rondo has three heads
Yeah... I guess. It is a little obvious :) There's a lot supporting it being true (or at least leading Tyrion to the conclusion) but I feel the scene was put together kind of roughly. I had to re read it several times to kind of appreciate what exactly had happened.

JonSnowKissedbyfire
There are several clues, starting from Tyrion's conversation with the magister Ilyrio to his observations the way Griffin, an old friend of Rhaegar, treated the young lad and trained him. Having said that I still think that there is more to it and he could be one of the Blackfyre's descendants and not the son of Rhaegar and Elia. We know very little of Varys past and in one of Danny's dreams/visions, Quaith calls Aegon mummer's dragon. This makes me think that Varys is behind this scheme to bring exiled Targs backs to Westeros and he may have "sold" this young lad to Griffin as Aegon. Knowing GRRM, there bound to be more twists in this than what meets the eye
John Hulboy
I think Tyrion an I Mopatis conversations an knowing what he knows about Varys pretty much gave up Aegon . If in fact he is real targ . I think he is a blackfyre .
