What happened to the Dothraki?

Dany's khalasar's last scene involved showing them throwing up on a boat. Their horses cannot drink seawater, it's poisoned.

Look at the other characters who are associated with sailorship, or lack thereof in the show. Stannis. The Ironborn. Gendry. The Dothraki.

Don't have a scene talking about how you're good or bad at sailing in GoT. It's plot poison. Your screen time cannot drink it.

There've been Dothraki extras in almost every big Dany scene since s2. Leading her horse, standing guard with arakhs, marching along with her Unsullied etc. There haven't been any prominent Dothraki characters for a while but I imagine that'll change in s6.

Kahl Pono took the lead of the Khalasar when the tragic death of Drogo happened. I cannot recall if Pono died at some point, but in the end of ADWD Dany and Drogon is encountered by Khal Jhaqo and his warriors, and imagine how awesome it would be if they somehow joined her to "recapture" Mereen. In the end, there are only two things the Dothraki fear, Dragons and the sea (and, if you know history, the Unsulied) :D

In episode 1 the first scene in Essos one spots three Dany ‘bodyguards’ they are Dothraki , not on horse back, still her blood riders? When Dany and Missandei walk the line of Unsullied one spots female and male Dothraki , and seemingly Astpor and Yunkai camp followers. (In the books I think there were about 100,000 camp followers.)

In episode 1 when Dany goes to see the crucified slave there are three Dothraki in the immediate background and looking in the far background there seem to be about a half dozen and way back seem to be some more with horse. Those with the horse could be Darrio’s sell-swords (we never really see Darrio interact with his company of mercenaries).

I can’t see any Dothraki or ‘camp followers’ in episode 3’s wide shots.

Then except for a Dothraki guard that’s all.

In the books Dany’s three Dothraki handmaidens are still alive and on scene on the page as well as her three named BloodRiders, tho their roles are not big.

In Dance her ‘khalasar’ of 100 or so also just kind of disappears , one wonders , after a while just were they are housed and what they do?

Checking Dance again Dany sends her khalasar to the country side to get the Meereen 'estates' to supply food to Meereen. It's not clear if they return before the Slaver Coalition armies arrive. She does get intel about a Dothraki Khalasar in the region of Meereen from one of her Blood Riders.
