The Onion Kniggit
The Rhaenys I'm talking about here is the daughter of Aemon Targaryen and Jocelyn Baratheon. Now we know she is in her mid fifties by the time the DWD took place, but her hair has been described as silver stricken with white, which seems to imply that she had silver hair like most Targaryens when she was younger. It appears this might throw a wrench in the whole Baratheon black hair always being dominant even if Jocelyn's own mother might have also had silver hair which is likely given that she was a Velayron. Kienn
Baratheon black hair only wins over Lannister yellow.
NOT A TARG I SWEAR
Maybe it's only male Baratheons for some odd reason
The Onion Kniggit
Baratheon black hair only wins over Lannister yellow. Isn't the only evidence of that because of two Baratheon-Lannister marriages in the past?

Kienn
Isn't the only evidence of that because of two Baratheon-Lannister marriages in the past?Right, so why are you extrapolating it into Baratheon > All?
The Mountain That Flies
Baratheon black seemed to win out over all others of normal genetics, but Targs are special so maybe their silver wins out over Baratheon black.
Lady Blizzardborn
Isn't the only evidence of that because of two Baratheon-Lannister marriages in the past? More than two. Otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for Jon Arryn, Stannis, and Ned to all conclude that Cersei's kids weren't Robert's kids.
Lady Beefheart
If you believe A + J = T (I'm skeptical, but for the sake of it), it's like Rock-Paper-Scissors. Targaryen silver beats Baratheon Black. Baratheon Black beats Lannister gold. Lannister gold beats Targaryen silver.

born amidst snow and corn
jocelyn is half velaryon so her genotype is A(baratheon black)a(valyrian silver) and Aemon is aa,so there's a 50% chance that their offspring would have silver hair. Liaraeyne
A lot of people seem to think that real life genetics apply to ASoIAF. This is obviously not the case. GRRM obviously does not mean for it to work that way in his world. That's pretty clear in the first book.
Laughing Storm Reborn
I would bet the rest of Robert´s bastards do not look exactly like him... the ones who do were known because it was public or they were exact copies... Baratheon genes are as strong as anyone elses, it´s just medieval times... Harrold Hardyng is one of Robert´s bastards bank on it (joking people, or not) :)
The 4th head of dragon
Hair color is not just dominant/recessive, sometimes people just happen to have that long a set for a certain color
AryaNymeriaVisenya
Baratheon > ALL in the main line, it breeds out as the genetics pass about beyond the main line otherwise all the Stormlands would have black hair. Magic genes folks. More than two. Otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for Jon Arryn, Stannis, and Ned to all conclude that Cersei's kids weren't Robert's kids. And we have WOIAF evidence of Argillac's 'famous' black hair, Orys was also black haired. All known Baratheon bastards have black hair, all 3 baratheon brothers and Shireen too. Yet inferior to Strongs, or at times Martells. I think people are missing the point. It is not a 100% certainty that a Baratheon child will have black hair. If that was the case someone would have pointed that out immediately. Hair colour, even in this magical universe is only circumstantial evidence, not conclusive. Lord Varys
Jocelyn Baratheon's mother was Alyssa Velaryon, who also had Valyrian features and Targaryen ancestors. I'd not be surprised if she is also had Valyrian hair. The early Baratheons may not have been all black-haired, considering that Orys was supposedly Aerion Targaryen's son.
