It annoys me when a thread gets locked right when I have something to post, so here is a new one.

Shared-kitchen-annoyances part whichever: Apparently it is now okay to take whoever's (mine) pot from the cupboard and use it without asking and then leave it not properly washed by the sink. Well they tried to clean it I guess, but just spraying with water is not enough you know ... <_<

Bring on your newest annoyances!

I just got back from my daughters art show and I'm still annoyed by the rude lady who stood in front of me as I was trying to watch the awards ceremony:

- stay out of peoples personal space, no need to stand two inches away from me

- be aware of your surroundings, no need to block the walking path. Wondering why 10 people are asking you to let them by?

Douche Bagel!

People not aware of their surroundings is my biggest pet peeve.

My mother is such a turd sometimes. Most days she comes in from work in a mood, starts bitching about whatever takes her fancy, and just generally causes tension in the house. She gets right on my nerves. I went to my SO's to escape before my physio appointment, and, while trying to be helpful, smashed a dog bowl belonging to his mum (for her dogs of course). I have to go home again soon and I can't say I'm keen. So what's annoying me today? Living with family, which is a daily annoyance.

when a person judging in a competition doesn't pay attention to the person they are supposed to be judging...causing that person to do far more work than should be needed.

Ridiculously dramatic journalism about drama.

I just read this article titled "90s star Jim Carrey has fallen on hard times".

In my head I'm thinking "Oh man, I like Jim Carrey. Is he on drugs? Suicidal? What's wrong with Jim????"

All the article said was his last 3 movies made 50 million instead of 100 million.

That's hard times???? Can I get some of those hard times?????

Hey movie stars are people too. Maybe instead of making light of the poor man's plight, you could start a gofundme campaign with Jim as the beneficiary?

It's all relative to the lifestyle someone has you know. Jim feels the loss of money greater than you.

Not to pick on banker as they are proof we live in a free market capitalist society and not actually a class controlled plutocratic kleptocracy, they should be bailed out for hundreds of billions when the ever increasing big sting happens latest was selling mortgages to people who could never repay, they should be subsidized in the US every year for $70billion or Europe for $300billion, because well they are so successful as paragons of free market capitalism.

These people feel the loss of money, the poor never having had any would not feel the loss of something they never had, right?

He didn't lose money, he still got paid for doing the movies. They just haven't been box office smash hits, and that's evidently why he's having "hard times"

I can see someone mat have trouble not being a superstar anymore but there was exactly zero evidence provided for this, no reports about depression, nothing. No quotes, nothing. Zero evidence for "hard times"

The author just provided it as a given that a person can't handle life anymore if they stop being the most famous celebrity

I read another one about Mark Hamill, doing nothing but criticizing him for being old and fat, and not still being a teen heart throb like he was in 1980.

When I do a crappy job of framing an argument about an issue that I care deeply about and I end up offending a bunch of people that had every right to be pissed at me. Especially when I know better.

So,yay me!

Ew. The general rule most people I know follow is "use my stuf without asking so long as you wash afterwards". Leaving stuff (especially if its not.even theirs) unwashed is irritating yes. No offence but your roomates suck :p

I can't keep my floors pristine and it's annoying me. It's raining, so it's harder to properly dry and clean my dog's feet each time he comes inside. I keep having to vacuum and mop up paw prints. I feel a little unbalanced when the floors are dirty, which is coupled with the unbalanced feeling one has in the first few days of DST change. So, annoyed.

Was making some tea after the football game, ended up placing my hand on the stove and now my left hand is burning like hell and I can't go to sleep because of the pain. Currently holding onto a pack of frozen chicken, which is sort of helping. I also have to be up in about 4 hours. So yes, i'm pissed off.

Ours is a company that prohibits fraternization in workplace and violation leads to job reassignment or termination of one or both individuals. Knowing this, two of my best and brightest have decided to engage each other, have apparently had this engagement in the office one of the times, and have been stupid enough to boast about it to their friends. On Facebook. And now of course HR knows and the higher ups are interested in knowing how I handle this. How can kids so smart act so dumb ?

I keep towels by the door and they (our 2 dogs) always get toweled down before reentering the house after being outside. Hence, my floors are always keep clean and dry, no matter how the weather fairs outside.

Oh cool, thanks. All this time I've been using q-tips to try to dry and clean his feet on rainy, muddy days. :P

No, but seriously. I have issues and my behavior regarding cleanliness of certain things looks a lot like OCD. That with a long haired dog who loves water and mud with an area that has been wet and flooded for weeks...reaching my limit. Even seeing a shadow of a paw print makes me feel crazy.

Apparently anger is a manifestation of postpartum depression, so excuse me while I work some of it out.

There are not enough hours in the day. This is not made any better by the fact that I have to spend a good chunk of them each day at work. Shit needs to get done at home and I need to spend time trying to interact with the baby so that he can grow up to be a smart and happy part of society and work just gets in the way.

Who ever designed the placement of bus stops in my city is an idiot. A bus stop that blocks the right lane just before a right hand turn that is on a busy route is just poor bus route design. Then, the bus driver doesn't feel the need to put on any hazard blinkers to indicate to me if they are planning on pulling out to continue going straight or if they plan on sitting there for a while so that it is safe for me to go around them on and turn right.

I get back from maternity leave and the hold button on my phone doesn't work. What did they do to my phone while I was gone?

I didn't use the proper language to convey how much I wanted the vacuuming to get done. As a result no vacuuming happened. I blame myself, no more passive "hey, if you get a chance can you vacuum?' instead I need to just say "please vacuum."

I think I'll leave at that for now. I have not been on the board for three months, I feel maybe I should ease back into posting.
