TimJames
These two characters never met in the series, nor seem to know the other exists. But interestingly enough, they both have vastly different world views. If they met, and weren't trying to kill each other, what would a conversation between the two be like? LordStoneheart
The Hound, Sandor, Yarp, or Prince Charming who exists in the minds of fans only? In any case, it ends up with Brienne losing... I love her but Sandor easily wins in a fight.

Mad Madam Mim
Who says they have never met in the series ;) I like what you did there Monsieur Flowers ;) I think there a few interesting snippets which suggests they may very well meet in the future; Brienne is actively searching for the hound due to his connection to both the Stark girls, the Elder Brother basically spells out to Brienne where Sandor currently is (and with all those clues, Brienne is due a lightbulb moment). There is also the cliffhanger moment when Brienne announces to Jaime that Sandor has Sansa (although this is likely a not true given we know she is in the Vale). There are also a number of parallels between them both physically and thematically: Physically: -both are ugly -both are considered unnaturally tall -Brienne gets her cheek ripped off which mimic's Sandor's facial injuries. It is important to note that Brienne has also come across the Hound's helm. Thematically: -both their stories revolve around the Stark girls. -both their stories the concept of 'true knighthood' -both their stories explore the Beauty and the Beast theme where they are pining over people who are physically more beautiful than they are
Harry the Hair
My theory is that the Gravedigger actually followed her from the Quiet Isle (assuming Sandor is the Gravedigger, which I'm like 10000000% sure he is). I thought it odd that Sandor is spotted by Brienne in the Monastery's cafeteria. He knows she's looking for him so it would be wise to stay clear of her, but he doesn't. Why would he risk exposure? I think he was eavesdropping/spying on Brienne & co once he overheard that she is looking for Sansa. If he'll get caught I expect much sassy attitude at first, the tossing of dirt included. :P
Kaibaman
I suspect their encounter would be similar to what happened in the show.
ZG1234
I don't think these two would ever have a proper conversation--the Hound is a terrible man and Brienne is brave, but before she started serving Renly and Lady Catelyn and met Jaime, I don't think she would have been able to find her tongue. If it was prior to his "death" and he was still the Hound, I could very well see their interaction being similar to what happened in the show, particularly if she and young Pod encountered Sandor and Arya together. If it was after the Hound's "death" and he was a brother of the Quiet Isle, again, I doubt there would be much of an interaction--much less a conversation. LadyoftheNorth72
It's very hard to predict without any given circumstances, but neither of them is the person they used to be. IMO not only are we largely in the dark as to how deeply those monumental changes have affected them (and therefore their potential responses to one another), I'm not entirely sure either of them is certain whom they are anymore, much less whom the other might be. I'm not a shipper, but in many ways (some already mentioned above by others), these two have a great deal more in common than they would ever guess. The Prince Of Tatters
Depends on if it's The Hound that's meeting her, or the Gravedigger...
Nerevanin
When I finished ASOS, I was sure that Brienne would encounter the dying Sandor and would save his life. Sandor would be dismissive of her and would insult her constantly, in similar - but more explicit - way Jaime did. Brienne would show her signature stubborness and despite all his efforts she would nurse him back to health. Eventually he would accept her kindness. The two wouldn't be able to find a trace of Arya so they would assume she is really dead and would look for Sansa together. During the journey they would slowly realize their affection for each other. Eventually they would make love for one time before they would be separated by something (for example Lady Stoneheart). Jaime-Brienne-Sandor-Sansa love square, here we come. Oh well, one can dream.
LongRider
Since some of the novices at the QI wear wool to hide their faces, it may well be that Sandor did, at least during mealtime. If anyone should have recognized him it would have been Pod, as he directly interacted at court as Tyrion's squire and fought with the Hound during the Battle of Blackwater. As we know, Pod didn't notice him. I find it hard to predict what would happen; the EB told Bri that the Hound helm had been stolen off the grave so she knows he wasn't involved with the Saltpans raid. She knows that he was traveling with Arya and not Sansa. With her thinking the Hound is dead she maybe able to spread the news that Sandor is not the "Mad Dog of the Saltpans" especially after killing Rorge and knowing Lem Lemoncloak has the helm. She thinks he's dead tho, so to meet the man as a living person would be a huge shock I would imagine, especially since he's not a zombie. They do have zombie encounters in common tho, so that's a plus.
The Bastard of Walton
No offence to Brienne fans, but it would be completely different to what happened in the show. In the Books, one on one, the Hound has no equal. (Barristan in his prime & Jaime with two hands disqualified of course)

In the Books, one on one, the Hound has no equal. (Barristan in his prime & Jaime with two hands disqualified of course) This is why I didn't like how he went down in the books. The best swordsman in Westeros was essentially taken down by Polliver and The Tickler because he was too drunk and hungry to put up a fight. Sure, Sandor defeated the two, but he almost didn't, and got a badly infected wound out of the fight. Something about this never sat right with me. I think having Sandor lose to Brienne in the show was more credible than the way the book described it, honestly. At least Brienne is a capable fighter.
