[SPOILERS] How will Season 5 end?

David and Dan always end each season with some outstanding cliff hangers. Some unfinished business to keep us all excited.

How do you think season 5 will end?

Since many of you may have read the books.

My prediction is it will end with

Jon snow being stabbed to death at the wall

I think Dany and Drogon at the pit will be in episode 9 and in episode 10 we'll see her meet the Dothraki.

I think the last scene of the season will be a toss up between Jon being stabbed or Varys killing Kevan and Pycelle. Whichever one isn't the last scene will probably be the second to last scene.

I think the season will end with a long Dany scene including her hallucinations (with a Viserys cameo) that will end with her and Drogon being discovered by a khalasar that proclaims her the StMtW.

Cheesy and maybe too uplifting but you know how much show watchers love Dany.

I dont think Jon will be stabbed this season. I believe it will be the final scene in either episode 6x01 or 6x02.

no way imho. It's gonna be this season. They are not wasting something like this as an episode ending to one of first eps of 6

I think you might be right. It will be too hard to hide the fact Kit Harrington will be shooting for S6 and will ruin the cliffhanger. If he were to get stabbed in 6x02 and come back in say 6x05 it would be easier to hide that he's coming back.

I don't think that would be obstacle..they increased the security recently so I'm sure they'd be able to figure it out

Yeah, this is what I think as well. I mean maybe they could keep Kit's return for the next season a secret but it'd be hard and there are no guarantees they could pull it off. And once it's spoiled that he's returning the tention is gone.

I think Dany meeting the Dothrakis is the only way they can end it. The always like to end a season on a highnote and many wish to see Dothrakis again. Everyone wins. Jon Snow getting stabbed would be a very cheesy way to end it because everyone knows he will be there until the end. It would seem like the show just wanted to shock viewers.

Or, they could give us something from TWOW we haven't seen but I doubt it.

I think the showrunners said the ending to the season is from published books

I actually just finished reading A Dance With Dragons and almost got sick when I read Jon's last chapter (He's definitely my favourite character) I really can't see them missing an opportunity to finish episode 10 with this. Not many who haven't read the books will be expecting anything as shocking as I think Dany riding Drogon will be ep 9.

Who are these many people who want to see the Dothraki again? I don't.

They really are not going to move the ides to Season 6 in my opinion. Yes some people will work out Kit is filming for Season 6 but probably fewer people than who would read Winds of Winter before Season 6.

Yeah I totally agree. The fans of the show aren't gonna be fooled to believe Jon really gets cut from the show. Plus I think "THAT" G.R.R.M quote will resurface sometime between Season 5 and 6.

Charles Dance filmed for season 5, did he survive Tyrion's crossbow bolts?

What quote?

This is exactly what I was thinking. I will actually be a little disappointed if they don't end the season with Jon's Caesar scene (but he better survive).

Is it really that big of a deal that people will know Kit is filming for Season 6? His stabbing is meant to be ambiguous; you're not supposed to unequivocally believe he's dead IMO. Plus, if they're smart they'll do a bit of set-up with him having Ghost visions, and a smart show-watcher will see the connection and realise his story isn't quite over just yet.

Ghost going ape shit in his "cage" as a sketchy NWer is awkwardly close to him, looking like there may be foul play coming(daggers in the dark, keep your wolf close warned previously). "For the watch" happens, john goes down, close up on him saying "ghost"... Pan to ghost busting out of cage and lunges towards the camera, as if to fiercely tear it to bits... His open jaw creates the blackness that leads to the credits.

Boom!!!

Did I say "every single person on the planet"? Please get over yourself.

From an objective point of view, leaving a character in a pool of his own blood as a season cliffhanger is as cheesy as cheese can be. The people running the show aren't writing The Bold & The Beautiful. They've done a great service for the show by cutting out other cheesy elements, such as "zombie Catelyn on a path of vengeance". They know how to write. Also, this is a show that is known for killing off its characters to the point where it's almost becoming a cliché. Another reason why they need to be careful how they're working with the material they've got.

The only way for this particular Jon scene to work is if they take it further than that. In other words letting us see how he succesfully wargs into Ghost or whatever follows his stabbing mishap.

And like I said earlier, they always want to end a season on a highnote. It's a dark show where bad things happen to good people and it's important to make viewers feel excitement instead of depression. (I personally know former fans of the series who stopped watching after season 3). Jon getting killed is a no-no, Jon getting killed and learning superpowers is a perhaps.

Dany meeting the Dothraki is the obvious way to end the season.
