For instance:Targaryen- HydreigonMartell- SolrockMormont- BearticArryn- TalonflameBaratheon- Sawsbuck/XerneasLannister- Pyroar/Entei/LuxrayStark- Maybe MightyenaAny other house-pokemon combinations would be good (or better fits for those listed) as well as any pokemonizations of the sigils b/c none exist. Creticus Posted March 20, 2015 Share Posted March 20, 2015 Targaryen - I like Hydreigon, but the three-headed dragon should be symbolic rather than literal, so I'd prefer a three-headed Charizard. Plus, the Hydreigon has some rather unfortunate connotations considering how the two heads turn into three, albeit surprisingly accurate ones. Shame that the Tao Dragon isn't really a thing. Martell - Solrock is the obvious choice. Not much to be said here. Baratheon - Sawsbuck since Stantler's illusion schtick doesn't fit well with the whole "Ours is the Fury" sentiment. Tully - either Feebas or Magikarp, since both of them seem unimpressive but have potential. In general, I'd go with Feebas over Magikarp since Feebas is noted to be tenacious. Not to mention that the Tullys don't really seem to fit the Gyarados's relentless rage. Tyrell - Roserade. Ha ha. Looks nice but has thorns. Lannister - Pyroar is the most leonine Pokemon that comes to mind for me, perhaps because of their hair. That said, the image of Tommen with cat Pokemon such as Espurr and Purrloin makes me smile. Arryn - I like Pidgeot, but if we're considering the characteristics of the Pokemon rather than its appearance, Braviary might make a better choice. It's the kind of Pokemon that'd win the respect of people who prize knightly virtues. Greyjoy - either Malamar or Tentacruel. The Tentacruel makes for a more fitting comparison, but the Malamar makes sense as a representation of Ironborn aspirations. Stark - this is a hard one since there are a number of Pokemon based on dogs and wolves, but none that looks like a direwolf. Mightyena is not a bad choice save that it's obviously based on a hyena, which bugs me enough that I'd go with an Absol. They sometimes live in cold climates; they sometimes appear to protect humans; and their presence heralds ominous events ahead. You can even make winged wolf jokes with them. Well lets see: House Greyjoy: Tentacruel House Lannister: Persian, a feline with connotations to gold and money, fits well. Arcanine which has a mane also fits, but is obviously canine. House Clegane-Houndoom, or Houndour. Sandor has connections to fire, and their sigil is three dogs. Houndoom are known for being violent, aggressive, and if burnd by their fire, the scars never heal. (and never stop hurting) House Tyrell: Honestly there are a lot of grass-types that fit, roselia, roserade, and bellossom/vileplume all fit House Targaryen: Charizard or Dragonite House Tully: Magikarp House Velaryon: Kingdra-dragons+sea-horses, kinda obvious House Mormont: Ursaring, which are bear pokemon found in in mountains and colder climates House Stark-Absol, as someone else pointed out, fit really well and are from the North. I'd say arcanine fit, but arcanine are connected to fire, not ice. Same with Houndoom. House Arryn-Pidgeot, Braviary, Swellow all fit well. Even Togekiss does, in a way. House Martell-Solrock, which also fits House Karstark House Manderly-Poliwrath, for mermen House Ryswell (red horses)-rapidash House Whent-Golbat, or if Lothson was one giant golbat, they could be 9 smaller zubat in their sigil.
