Floki of the Ironborn
Let's assume Loren Lannister decides not to ride against the Targaryens, for whatever reason.Visenya herself commented how she doubted even dragon-fire could destroy Casterly Rock. Though Aegon would certainly want to break the power of all seven kingdoms. So how would the siege of Casterly Rock turn out? Or would there even be a siege? Leonardo
Starve em out. Would be easy enough, just take a lot longer.
Kyll.Ing.
Starve em out. Would be easy enough, just take a lot longer. True, but there'd be a thousand other things Aegon would rather spend his time on. HIs conquest was dependant on being fast, laying all the other kingdoms under his and then consolidating power. With him tied up at Casterly Rock for a year or two, who knows what other Houses would have done and what ideas they would have got. He might have been sitting at Casterly Rock and seen his kingdom crumble behind him. Committing the resources necessary to take the Rock might mean he couldn't have taken the rest of Westeros as easily afterwards.
TheSovereignGrave
Reduce the surface part of Casterly Rock to a melted ruin like Harrenhal and then burn Lannisport to the ground.
Lion of the West
Reduce the surface part of Casterly Rock to a melted ruin like Harrenhal and then burn Lannisport to the ground. Pretty much, provided that Loren didn't get the message earlier when seeing the Stormlands, Riverlands, Vale and Reach camp outside his walls. Lord Varys
I'd not be so sure if Visenya ever said that words if Gyldayn's sources that Aegon had visited Lannisbort in his youth. If that was the case he would have seen Casterly Rock, too, and most likely had told his siblings how it looked like, and then Visenya would not have been surprised by its size/strength. Night's King Reborn
Well, if Loren doesn't march I can't realistically imagine that Mern would march without at least another kingdom supporting him. So, no Field of Fire, therefore Aegon has to subdue both kingdoms individually on their own turf. From there, hopefully they have the wisdom of Torrhen Stark and bend the knee, even if Casterly Rock can outlast dragons' attacks for a while. DMC
While CR may be fairly resistant to dragons, the rest of the Westerlands are not. Except perhaps, rather ironically, Castamere.

Quite possible that without Loren the Gardner's bend the knee followed by everyone else. Not much changes except the high septon doesn't require a week of prayer and the Tyrells remain ever the faithful stewards. Plus the Florents don't spend the next 300 years pissing and moaning about how they got screwed. I really hate that house.
