I recently re-read this and unlike the first read (were I thought it was mainly pompous drivel with a couple of interesting bits... and a really cringey cheap twist) I found it really interesting and thought provoking.

Anyway I notice this board is mainly about sci-fi/fantasy so rather than write a long OP that may well go unread I would just open up a thread to see if anybody else has read it/is interesting in discussing it. So have you? Do you agree with either my first or second impression?
