Strategy for Conquest: The Vale

Imagine the Seven Eight Kingdoms are independent (the Crownlands are part of the Stormlands now, just go with it).

You start out with an army, and an intention to take over the Vale.

You must start out from only one of the following: the North, the Riverlands, the Stormlands. And whichever region you pick, neither you nor the Vale can make alliances with the other Westerosi regions, so no outside help/hindrance on either side. You can, however, try and infiltrate House Arryn's bannermen.

You start out with 60,000 soldiers, a fifth of which are cavalry. Your fleet comprises of 40 ships and all the transport ships that are needed to take your men across the sea/waterways. You have two adult sons and one adult daughter who is unwed thus far. You have the element of surprise on your side, but that only allows you one day before the word begins to spread and the Arryns move against you.

Victory is the annihilation/surrender of the Vale's forces, the defeat of House Arryn, and the capture of the Eyrie.

What is your strategy?

Blockade outlying smaller houses and places like the paps that will be easy to siege and difficult to relieve; once they start losing the support of their bannermen due to this, they will be forced to act or already will have upon the ground of my choosing. Prepare a decent battle strat based on terrain, then land some of my men behind them when they come onto one of the peninsulas/fingers

Really depends on how big the Gulltown fleet is.

Eyrie will have to be starved until winter comes along with some of the other vale castles. There is no point in marching overland to them in the beginning.
