Who would be Jon's dragon?

Assuming that R+L=J and that Jon is part of the Dragon has three heads prophecy, which dragon do you think he would have? Dany has three, but she only rides Drogon, and she states that not even Aegon and his sisters dared to ride each other's dragons. That leaves her with two left over dragons. Do you think that he would bond with Viserion or Rhaegal? Or that those two dragons will never be ridden by anyone?

Jon's dragon will be drogon the black dread reborn for two reasons

1. Both Jon and drogon are reincarnations of past beings( azor ahai, balerion)

2. Both are signiturly black

Also Dany hasn't tamed drogon. Drogon only protects her because she's his mother he's still wiled and untamed. Meaning she can't control him in the air where ever they go it's where drogon wants to go not Dany.

I want the theories that Jon gets his own dragon, either from beneath Winterfell (very unlikely) or Hardhome (pretty unlikely) to happen, but if you couldn't tell, I don't think they will.

I think he'll get Rhaegal. Rhaegar was his father, and Rhaegal seems to carry some of Jon's traits. He's not as aggressive as Drogon, but he seems fiercely protective of his siblings; just ask Quentyn Martell. They both seem fairly serious and "solemn". In short, I believe it will be Rhaegal because of the significance of the name, and because Rhaegal and Jon have matching sticks up their arses.

I'd love for it to be Drogon, because of the red and black symbolism, plus because if Jon is Azor Ahai/TPWTP/whoknowswhatelse, it seems he should have the biggest dragon, but the books have always given me the impression that he has the closest bond with Dany.

Viserion seems like the couch potato of the group, a sensitive and, by dragon standards anyway, non-aggressive creature. His rider will be the least "warrior-like" of the three, I think. I know who seems as if he is being shaped up for the reins, and odds are so do you (hint: Viserion bleeds gold and crimson.), but I'm writing that opinion off as wishful thinking on my part, since a "WMD" is the only way my favourite character can ever hope to have power again in a land where he's accursed for killing all of the most frowned-upon people to kill. But that's a discussion for another thread. . .

Yes she has. Reread her last 2 chapters in ADwD.

Honestly, I would prefer Jon to NOT ride a dragon.

He is shaping to be a leader of men, and so he should be fighting at their side. Plus, all this practice in swordfighting would go wasted.

Ah, and Drogon is Dany's. He even has the name of her beloved husband... Nothing connecting him to Jon, like at all.

Agree with all of this. Is there even any foreshadowing of Jon flying? Bran and Tyrion are much more likely than him.

No he shouldn't. Dany is THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS FFS! Also Dany is already bonded with Drogon. I have to say the fan boys/girls wanting Jon to get Drogon is probably the thing I find the most annoying on this forum. :bang: :bang: :bang:

^ Let's generalize: just leave other characters' pets alone!

That goes for anyone...

Jon will have all three dragons, and will wield both Targaryen valyrian steel swords by the end. He'll marry Dany(who dies giving birth to his child), Arianne, Margaery, Val, Alys, and even Sansa. After all, this is the Song of Jon and Jon!
