Tiago Calçona
Just started a ADWD, and i'm pretty confused with Varys. At the Tyrion's chapters I read, it seems that Varys is plotting to Dany become the ruler of Westeros, showing us finally his true intentions. However this behaviour goes against what Varys was doing in the first book; if his intentions was always for Dany, why he revealed that she was to marry Khal Drogo, or was pregnant with him??? He even sent the guys to kill her in the first book, and when king Robert demanded him to cancel the order, Varys just simply said that was too late to go back. We also have a Arya's chapter in the first book where Illyrio Mopatis and Varys are walking in the dundgeons, and Illyrio asks if one hand can die, why not another?, and that Ned Stark already had the book.... and that all of this would put their plans in risk.... but if they wanted to help Dany, i think they should have approved what was happening, because the war would only weak westeros, and make it more easy for Dany to conquer the all thing, and being seen as savior for the people of Westeros. So their initial plans don't seem to agree with they are actually doing, so I'm wondering that they are in fact plotting against Dany, and not in her favor, and beig actually one of the betrayals of Dany. I really don't know what they want, maybe they are for Dany, maybe they are using her as piece for their plans, maybe even Illyrio and Varys are plotting against each other? What are your thoughts? JonCon's Red Beard
You really NEED to keep reading  But yeah... you're supposed to think exactly what you're thinking. Feast ended up with the revelation of what kind of man LF really was, and what were his intentions. In Dance, we have the same for Varys.
