Shinrei
Hi everyone, I was wondering, do we have some forum members who already read the newest book by Polansky? If so, what's the verdict? Why i ask? I have two newer books on my to-watch-list, one being Those Above and the other being The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu. As there is a recent thread about the latter, i wanted to inquire about the former. A decision needs to be made ;) Thanks in advance.
dillinisgood
I'd be interested to hear some thoughts on this one as well. I came across it on about page ten of my amazon wish list and I don't even remember adding it.
RedEyedGhost
Have you read his Low Town trilogy? The new book is set in the same world.

peterbound
I've read all his books. Waiting for this one to come out on Kindle over here. Didn't know they are in the same world.
AncalagonTheBlack
Didn't know they are in the same world. They are not set in the same world. It's a new series set in a new world. I read the new book and honestly did not like it as much as his previous series. It reads like a set-up book for the next (and final) book in the duology, the plot gets going only around the halfway mark and out of the 4 Pov characters only 2 are well developed.I did like the writing though. I would rate it 3/

Bastard of Godsgrace
I liked it. The worldbuilding is interesting, characters intriguing and the main conflict far from black and white t may seem at the first sight. Definitely want to read the second book. Mark Lawrence
I liked it a lot (not as much as the Lowtown trilogy). The writing is top-notch, the story feels as if it's building toward something huge and bloody. There is a shit-ton of world building. The characters were interesting, but in a way the weakest part for my taste, perhaps lacking that heart and charisma that I like. Calibandar
Some the reviews on Amazon UK put me off, even though I had been anticipating this one based on premise. I read sample chapter or two and was not intrigued.
