Nihlus
The date is 283 AC. Ser Gregor Clegane of the Kingsguard (don't question how anybody got to this point) stands guard for his king, Aerys Targaryen II. A Westerlands army under Lord Tywin Lannister was let into the city, and are in the process of massacring and sacking it. The Mad King decides to spite his enemies by finally enacting his wildfire plot, which will see the city of King's Landing being almost completely destroyed if successfully carried out. He also orders Gregor to bring him the head of Tywin Lannister. We all know what Jaime did. He killed the king and his pyromancers, preventing the city and everyone inside from going up in flames. In the same position, what would Gregor do?
Lacp
Gregor is Loyal to Tywin, but didnt have the same intent as Jaimie, so he would probably be fine with the wildfire, due to his brute personality we all know and love.
Pashernate Reader
He would have squished Aerys' head.

Wouldn't he be killing himself by letting Aerys blow up/burn the city? Why would he do that?
Ser Charles of Rosehaven
Wouldn't he be killing himself by letting Aerys blow up/burn the city? Why would he do that? IMHO he isn't intelligent enough to discover that by himself
Pashernate Reader
Why does everyone assume Gregor's a dolt? Maybe he's secretly a genius with a master plan for seizing the Iron Throne when nobody's looking. Admittedly, losing his head might have complicated his schemes, but the 7 kingdoms have had worse. Nihlus
IMHO he isn't intelligent enough to discover that by himself Why does everyone assume Gregor's a dolt? He might genuinely have low intelligence, but there's no indication he's dumb enough to do something like this. The fandom's image of him as a barely-functioning mad dog doesn't seem to fit his actual personality. He talks like a regular person (he may even be witty, in a really dark sort of way) and is capable of coming up with tactics (e.g. he sounds fairly competent during the battle of Green Fork). I'm pretty sure he can make the basic connection of "city blowing up/burning down with me inside it" = "I die".
Minsc
He would kill Aerys seeing how the alternative is burning to death in the fire also.

TimJames
Does this mean that Jamie will be tasked with killing Elia and her children? In any case, I think Gregor would let Rossart commence operation burn-Kings-Landing-to-the-ground. When Aerys commanded him to kill Tywin he would likely abandon his post and leave the city. Everyone will be too distracted by the fire to notice a big guy sneaking out. From there he'll probably try to find a ship to take him to Essos, and once there he'll join the Brave Companions.

BRANDON GREYSTARK
The Mountain is a loyal soldier , and unlike Jaime he seems not to have any familiar loyalties ,that means Tywin dead. King's Landing burned to a crisp . All hail king Robert while Jaime becomes lord of the Westermen , while Aerys gets all the blame . WIN, WIN . Ivan Campo
Kill Aerys, Rossart and join in on the raping and killing in the city Seems about right. Gregor appears loyal to Tywin, and I really can't see him wanting to miss out on the sack of King's Landing.
