Hoffa
First of all i would like to say i see a lot of hate of Jon, dany, Sansa and whatsnot.I never really get the hate for anyone of the main characters, plots gifts etc. But here is one character who is writte likea spineless coward, and that is Jorah Mormont. I can sympathize with him first. He is a young lad and he falls in love with a high born beauty in Lynesse Hightower. Fair enough, we have all been there. He win her over and they head to Bear Island. She is high maintenance and eventually he bankrupt his house. So far only an inconvenience. Not the end of the world, they can still recover. But insteadof admiting defeat, he start to sell slaves. Ned hears about it and is on his way to chop his empty head off. He runs off to Essos (betraying his family) and sell his sword for a living. At this time he start to HATE Ned Stark, saying "he took everything from me" bla bla blaDude, Ned did what any other Lord would do. His wife leaves him. Then he hear Varys whispers of a pardon. "Spy on Dany and you can get home again" YAY! Then he falls in love with her still knowing he is a lying nub. He get caught and is exiled. He goes on a bender and eventually meet Tyrion. He capture Tyrion and act like he is some saint and Tyrion is the devilwhen infact Tyrion is the one out of the two who have a backbone. They get captured by slave traders and he just gives up.Tyrion saves him even though he treated tyrion like shite for no reason what so ever (tyrion never did anything to him) Conclusion: Jorah Mormont is a coward who only think about himself, he fall in love with girls and act like a lunatic. He cant stand up for his own actions. He so bad wants to go home. The wall?!?!?! Dude, your father is LC. But noooo, why should he go to the wall? "i didnt do anything wrong! its Neds fault!"What a efficng spineless reason for a man. I feel sorry for Jeor Mormont.
eyenon15
Pathetic excuse for a man is kind of harsh but I've always seen him as a bit of a cuckold

TimJames
To be fair to Jorah, Jeor might not exactly welcome the son who disgraced him on his Wall.Actually, Jeor's dying wish was for Jorah to come to the wall. Truth be told, that's what I hope happens. I hope Jorah somehow meets Samwell Tarly, learns about his dad's dying wish, and goes to The Wall to take The Black. Then after he does this Jon Snow gives him Longclaw, symbolizing the prodigal son finally returning.

myhousigilisthehousecat
Jorah is a fedora, but I still like him. Even though he's got a big stupid crush, he doesn't bow and scrape to every thing that Dany says, nor does he try to control her every action. He really knows and respects her, offers pretty sound advice and tells it like it is. They're still all wrong as a couple, but not in a way that makes me want to take a shower. He probably should have come clean about the spying thing to Dany much sooner, and selling those people into slavery wasn't cool either, but I'd say he's serving some fit penance. I can't blame him for not wanting to go to the wall, tis a silly place, but that's probably where he'll eventually wind up. Also he's my dark horse vote for a dragon rider.
