the stranger in the dark
I am re-reading GOT for the third time as each time i have read the story i find more snippets of details I didn't see before. In Tyrion's chapter on the way to the wall, he talks to Jon about wanting to have a dragon as a child and would spend hours looking into the flames. He says that sometimes he would see his Father and other times his Sister. I am wondering does this mean as a child he saw glimpses of the future but couldn't interpret it as he was a child or am I reading too much into this. Balerion the kitten
I think he was imagining the fire was dragonfire and that it was burning his father and sister. He was thinking this due to the treatment he received by both of them when he was younger.
Odon
I just assumed it was foreshadowing that Tyrion would ride a dragon in the future novels. But it's an interesting point for the "Tyrion is the bastard son of the Mad King" theory, given that Targs have 'dragon dreams'.
