Storylines in this episode

Recommended Posts

Aside from the Wall storyline, wich we know will happen due to the title, what storylines do you think we will see in this episode?

I go for :

- Jorah and Tyrion in the Sorrows
- Mereen maybe

- Perhaps some Stannis, maybe he'll be leaving Castle Black

- King's Landing

- Arya getting more lessons

and some more Dorne.

I don't think we'll see Winterfell tough.

Well, the official episode synopses says:

Episode #45: Kill the Boy

Dany (Emilia Clarke) makes a difficult decision in Meereen. Jon (Kit Harington) recruits the help of an unexpected ally. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) searches for Sansa (Sophie Turner). Theon (Alfie Allen) remains under Ramsays (Iwan Rheon) control.

Written by Bryan Cogman; directed by Jeremy Podeswa.

So we have at least the confirmation for

- Meereen

- The Wall

- BriPod

- Winterfell

I'm also sure we're going to get KL, Braavos and Dorne maybe/likely; and my guess is that Stannis & Co. are going to leave the Wall in that episode.

Would Tormund be an unexpected ally? Actually I'm inclined to think its Brienne, offering to rescue Sansa. But its too soon for Stannis to have left the Wall. Brienne and Stannis at the Wall at same time is definitely not happening. Or it could be Asha?

Aemon will die probably, and if we're lucky we'll get 'Egg, I dreamed that I was old'.

From IMDB:

The episode title refers to the advice Maester Aemon gave Jon Snow about growing into a man of the Night's Watch, how he must mature into it and make selfless decisions. This is the same advice he gave many years ago to his own brother Aegon V Targaryen when he was crowned king: "Kill the boy, and let the man be born."

Yes, but it could be a double or triple meaning. One might be literal.

Ramsey, Robin, Tommen, Loras, Trystane are all viable candidates for death. Also Roose due to what he tells Theon in ADWD

And Podrick?

No threat to him. He's Brienne's sounding board and as long as they're off alone, they're safe.

Only if LS & BwoB show up. That's unlikely to happen. If does, would be in last episode.

I don't think Trystane will die that soon, he is in ep 6 according to the summary.

Then Trystayne survives--for now.

-On his deathbed, Aemon gives his "kill the boy" advise to Jon.

-The title might also refer to plots against other boys: Tommen, Ramsay, etc...

-Jon decides to work with Tormund and the Wildlings.

-Maybe Stannis begins his march.

-Sansa discovers Theon, perhaps trying to convince him to assist her, but finds him loyal to Ramsay.

-I'm guessing Dany will decide to marry Hizdahr and open the fighting pits in the aftermath of whatever happens in "The Sons of the Harpy" episode.

-Brienne and Pod wander around the North.

-We'll probably get a couple quick scenes of Cersei vs Tyrell and of bitter and drunk Jorah and Tyrion.

The Sparrows will Kill the Boy (Loras). Execution for debauchery or something like that. At least that will be their demand and possible chant in the streets and he will be imprisoned pending a trial and death sentence. Cersei will be so pleased and think she can force Margery out with a promise to save him, but we all know how it will really play out in the end.

Don't think he'll die that soon, a scene in the trailer featured him, Olenna, Margaery, Cersei, High Sparrow + other Sparrows, in what seemed like a trial, and Olenna isn't even in KL yet.

The "unexpected ally" bit strikes me as kind of odd if it refers to Tormund. Jon and Tormund are already somewhat close and Stannis literally just told Jon to talk to Tormund. Not sure how "unlikely" an ally that makes him.
