The "Game is a Farce" !

Hey guys, this is my first post but i read various threads. Something bothering me about this series is the so called Game. Saying he didn't know how to play the game. She's becoming a player of the game. After reading comments on various threads, i've always thought about it and realised, the Game of Thrones is a a farce and is not worth playing, judging a character by how to play the game is really unfair. The game is destructive, selfish, corrupt, unjust and is a bad political system in Westeros. It creates an air of might is right and that those who simply wont comply will fall out. Everybody playing it, has their own desires and ambitions at end, and others suffer for it. So what are your thoughts ? Have you come to this realization as well ? Thanks.

No, without their "game" the books lose something. Westeros IS selfish, corrupt and unjust. Their politics very much represent the world they live in. Pawns and players, common born and nobles. When there's winners there is always losers. This is definitely something to he judged on as a character, especially if that's the way they act and think.

Soon with the others and white walkers nobles are going to need to face reality and burst this little bubble their in, that their world is not somehow revolving around them and that there is more to power and ruling than beating each other and trying to reach the top. That there are far more serious problems outside of your own. Once again players/wannabe players think this way, so the should be judged this way.

Of course it's a terrible ruling system, monarchies are. And speaking from a country that's ruled by one.

I would say the "Game" is definitely far from a farce and I think it implies that there is a lot more going on than meets the eye. We can use American politics for example. A politician in a major state election is not just going to go out door to door and explain your stance on the major issues. Instead the politician is going to have to "play the game". The game just implies that you're willing to jump through certain hoops and have some sort of strategy. In American politics there are certain rules, but even to do really well in the game is partially figuring out which rules a politician can cheat.
