King Behind The Wall
Not sure if the episode features the entire battle sequence at Hardhome that took a month to shoot, or whether it will end in a cliffhanger when Jon and party reach their destination. Guess we will have to wait till we get episode 9 synopsis.
Arkash
I truly believe the main (if not whole) action at Hardhome will be in this episode. The synopsis only say "Jon travels" cause these episodes are still far ahead. Synopsis grow more precise when airdates come closer. For now, "Jon travels" is the only stuff they want to reveal at this point. As for how the episode ends... well, I think it's one of the thing I'm most excited by this season cause I'm sure it's gonna be epic !
Lord Damian
Hardhome will be traveled to and the action take place in one episode, There should be so much going on that this storyline will not take up too much time as others things and other places will need the attention. midi
Arya makes progress in her training. Arya will probably see Meryn trant here Sansa confronts an old friend. ????????????????? No idea at all LF, Brienne, Pod, Jeyne, Theon, Hound, Ned starks Ghost?? Cersei (Lena Headey) struggles Cersei is jailed by HS Jon travels. Battle at Hardhome, White walkers Nymeria
Arkash
I'd say Theon or Nymeria. I believe Reek's goodswood scene will be in episode 7, and he'll come back to Sansa as Theon (almost).
alienarea
By the logic of the tv show I assume LF counts as old friend as well.
JetonGrajqevci
I bet this is the episode where Sam and Gilly either come along or get separated from Jon to travel elsewhere (book readers know where).
Arkash
Wouldnt bet on knowing. Yeah, the speculation that Sam and Gilly will depart Castle Black by the end of the season is likely to happen, but as to where ? Could be Oldtown, Braavos, Eastwatch-by-the-Sea or even King's Landing for all we know ! ^^
Lord Damian
Sansa confronts and old friend.1- maybe the Greatjohn shows up for the wedding?2- maybe theon comes out of Reek mode?3- Did Maester Lewin survive and come back incognito? We really did not see Sansa around anyone in Winterfell as a child that she hung around with that might be left alive unless mentioned above. This is interesting. Cashless Society
Maybe "Winterfell Worker" is Jeyne Poole?

I really don't think the "old friend" would be Theon/Reek since the preview of the previous episode ("The Gift") states: Jon prepares for conflict. Sansa tries to talk to Theon. Brienne waits for a sign. Stannis (Stephen Dillane) remains stubborn. Jaime attempts to reconnect with family. Seems odd that they would refer to him by name in one preview, yet in the very next episode he becomes "an old friend". Also, I wonder if the word "confronts" means something. Who from the past would Sansa have reason to be upset at/be afraid of facing? Maybe someone from her days at King's Landing? The Hound? It could be a way to re-introduce him to the story, if he really isn't dead... But boy, I have no idea what D&D could be thinking to involve the Hound in the Winterfell storyline. Battle at Hardhome, White walkers The old lady that said "The North Remembers". She is old and was friendly, Sansa may feel a need to know more about what she meant when she said this. Also, Sansa probably does not have many people that she feels she can trust.

I think it is the old lady from episode 3, Sansa wanting to know more about what she said. Are there other friends etc..
Lord Damian
I just thought of this. Myranda has two girlfriends with them. Might one of them be playing - Beth Cassel (Ser Rodrick's daughter) who has somewhat gone with the program/Boltons to stay alive?
ArabellaVidal
Maybe Myranda will turn out to be the old friend she confronts.
Lord Damian
Maybe Littlefinger returns to Winterfell to attend the "wedding" by this time, Sansa's traumatic scene will have already taken place and she is angry at Littlefinger for the situation she is in. The words "confronts" is indicative of her being a little upset towards said person. I agree now, it would not be theon. That should have already happened. I think that if Sansa endures the said event, this will signal the end of littlefinger's hold over her.

Northbound3.0
Can someone please explain why they believe, the old friend Sansa meets will be Nymeria? I've seen at least five posters, say this. Are you all basing this on the condition that Sansa, has escaped Winterfell and is now traveling? That would be the only way this occurs. Otherwise, its sounds like a lot of wishful thinking. There is noway for Nymeria to get with in the walls of WF, nor would anyone under the Bolton banner, let a massive direwolf through the gates. WheelofIceandFire
Arya will likely meet Meryn in the final two episodes (directed by David Nutter) Her storyline is one I cant really predict She 'trains' in episode 6 and then 'makes progress' in episode 8? Does that mean she isn't actually in episode 7, which I thought she would be since its called 'The Gift'?
