Davos is King
Okay problem number 1 isn't really a spoiler it's just a bit of a f*ck up on HBO's part. Tommen has 5 Kingsguard with him when going to see the High Sparrow 5 + Meryn Trant + Jaime Lannister + Arys Oakheart ( Look back at Myrcella's departure S02) does not = 7 HBO :P 2nd problem: They killed Barristan the Bold ffs -_- (check Episode 5 preview for confirmation)
averde
Fairly confident Oakheart was cut from the show/ won't exist anymore.
RenlyTheOneTrueKing
There's always the chance Arys came back, when there was more a need for him in KL
Arkash
^ I guess that's the road the show took. Arys was just supposed to accompany her on the journey there and come back after.
Wyman Manderly's Meat Pies
Balon Swann was name dropped when Jamie was planning their positions during the wedding. I'm still hoping for a small reference to the Kettleblacks next week. Littlefinger could request a royal escort through the streets and ask for Kettleblack himself perhaps. Not that it would matter, it'd just be a little nod to the books.
Udvarnoky
Balon Swann exists in the show's canon, but I wouldn't assume that means his function in the book will even be approximated. See also: Jeyne Poole and Marillion. If it wasn't obvious already it should be now that Bronn will be filling in for Arys Oakheart. Not that the circumstances will be one-to-one, but the fate will be adapted for him. I agree with this decision and similar ones the show has been making - Sansa for Jeyne, Trant for Raff, Jorah for Connington. Why wouldn't you shift these dramatic plotlines to well-established characters instead of introducing new ones that can't be justified in this much more time-constrained medium? There's no reason to expect the Kettleblacks to appear at all. Once Cersei confesses to the Faith Militant that she slept with her own cousin, it's hardly going to be necessary for her to be "outed" as a whore as well. She's got plenty of other crimes to go around without throwing in the slatterny and the tacitly approved CIA experiments in the dungeons. That will eliminate some of Qyburn's content as well, but at least all vital signs are good on the Robert Strong subplot and folks, that there is what matters.
