Started reading after the first season of GoT on TVMy question is this:Why does she 'care' so much about being queen of Westeros? I get that she views it as hers by right, but why does she care? Especially now, that she's allegedly unable to bear children. With her being (Or so she thinks at least) the LAST Targaryen and unable to have future children, what is her end game? If her plans work out, she'll be queen for X amount of years, grow old and die with no successor (by blood) and the realm will be back to the same place it is at now with different families warring for the Iron Throne. They were killed of in a very brutal way, she's had to grow up in exile deprived of a life that could have been hers. Viserys was a very big influence in her, for most of Daenerys life she was told of a land that was beautiful and amazing and would one day be theirs. The "usurper dogs" have been painted to dany as child murderers, rapists and greedy killers who are destroying this land that's hers. Daenerys knows that Aegon I and his wives created the dynasty. She knows the Iron Throne was a Targaryen institution. He's very impressed by Daenerys and would probably know what the actress uses for motivation from having asked her loads of inane questions because by keeping up the pretense that it's an "interview" his wife doesn't slap him for chatting up hotties. Isn't the barren womb thing just part of Mirri's insult and not a real medical condition Daenerys has? I don't know where Meereen is headed but probably nowhere good. So if things keep going like they are, Danny's "learning how to rule" experiment should have taught her not to try ruling again in the West...... that's why I suspect the rest of the East will change their mind soon and help make Danny look like she's learned something about how power really works, etc. This will justify her attack on Westeros now that she's older and wiser and can apply all the many lessons she's learned when ruling the West. :dunno: There's also the chance that she's more important than a dynasty. If she's a world changer, she'll be remembered for doing the kind of thing a dynasty can't do. Because dynasties are about keeping the world the same, under the same crown. Maybe the world needs a good kick in the testes and "winning" won't be what Daenerys is remembered for so much as giving the world the shove it needed to get humanity in shape to survive. (both our own madness and the madness of the elements need to be survived here. If she manages to kill down our own species' madness to the point where we can unite and focus on the other threat, maybe that's the main hero accomplishment of AA.)
