[Book Spoilers] Theon - I talk to the trees but they don't listen to me

Seeing as this is looking to be the post-dread-wedding episode I am wondering whether we will have Theon talking to the heart tree and maybe even Bran talking back. D&D seem to like some magical elements more than other so the question it whether they have Theon's return from Reek come completely from inside or whether they allow a bit of supernatural help. Will we get any hint of what Bran is up to in this season at all?

I think it will be Sansa that saves Theon from Winterfell and not the other way around. Especially after how the last ep ended. It would make sense that Sansa is the strong one and the hero, showing compassion to Theon to get him out of there and "remember" who he is. Although, the show hasn't done a great job this season of making him feel like he has Theon repressed. To be 100% honest, I didn't think the book did that great of a job of it once he got to Winterfell either. Especially the way he would talk to Lady Dustin and yelling at her not to touch him.

I hope that Bran makes an appearance somehow too (even in tree form). But I don't think it'll happen for some reason. Just my own feeling on this issue.

They could make it ambiguous like they did in the books with Theon just hearing whispering through trees or something (if this scene is included at all). They could even use Bran's voice from past seasons if the actor didn't shoot/record anything whatsoever for this season. Would be a nice scene to have but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Theon (Alfie) is the best actor on show atm, i always look forward to his scenes and i really like Greyjoys in book. Looking forward to his redemption and reincarnation as Theon of House Greyjoy.

Alfie has been overlooked in favor of Peter Dinklage but I suspect this year, Alfie may get the supporting actor nod. Well deserved.

Just re-read the confession scene in the books... at the end of it, Theon is interrupted by the spearwives... I wonder if something similar will happen in the show and if Brienne will eavesdrop his confession...

So many people expected Theon to snap last episode it would be interesting if, at first, rather than have him acting or plotting they have him begging for death. Then get him to turn it around and start being useful.

I think Brie finding him is a good idea. Especially as I am currently sold on the old woman/candle in the tower thing is a trap theory. I would be a lot happier if I could see Brienne interacting with Theon or Sansa in person.

Maybe it goes down like this.

Sansa asks Theon for help

Theon tells Sansa she needs to please Ramsay and do what he wants (like he tells Jeyne in the books)

Sansa brushes him off and tells him "I still have friends in the North"

Sansa goes to light a candle in the tower

It's a trap, Ramsay is there, tells Sansa she will never escape (Ahhhh!)

Theon, distraught, goes to the heart tree and asks to die

Bran says his name

Brienne turns up and demands he helps her rescue Sansa

Does nobody watch the previews??

Sansa plots with Theon.

Then in the snow, Ramsay shows her something and she completely breaks down & cries.

My prediction - Theon remains useless, Sansa then decides to light the candle.

BriPod enter WF.

Ramsay captures them. Flays them alive and shows their dead bodies to Sansa. That is why she breaks down.

Final scene- This was my wedding GIFT to you, Sansa.

Episode ends with Sansa staring at their dead bodies. Now she knows the only person that can save her is Jon snow.

I like it!

So all the crap with avenging Renly, fulfilling her oaths, etc. just goes out the door? If anyone gets flayed this episode my guess is the old woman who talked to Sansa or the old man who talked to Brienne. For Brienne and Pod to die without really doing anything this season would be lame.
