Can there be liquids or animals in my computer?

My laptop is making weird gurgling noises, and sometimes a noise that sounds half way between a wren's chitter-chatter and something caught in a fan blade. Then it goes back to gurgling, kind of like a bong or a fountain.

Any techies want to weigh on this? It seems to be functioning just fine but I'm worried it's trying to tell me something. Are there any animals that are known to make a nest inside laptops? And what kind of liquids would they be storing inside of it?

I asked my neighbor and he said it's probably low on gas, but even I know that can't be right.

There certainly could be one, or both, of those in you computer. However, the chances that it is functioning with either in there is quite low.

I would just take the bottom off. You should be able to see what is going on, or at least get a better idea where the sound is coming from.

That's just silly. Everyone knows computers run on diesel. Kerosene can do in a pinch, but then you have to mess with the carburetor. Gas is just going to make the thing explode.

Since the only moving part on a laptop happens to be the fan, most unusal sunds kind of have to do with that part. (Unless somebody is fucking with you and the sounds are player by intention).
Most of the time the fan is "off balance" not running as it should which can produce the strangest of sounds. Carefully open and clean it might do the trick.

If you go on with a damaged fan you risk overheating!

Well, the only animals I know of used to be bugs in the ancient time..Hence the name for malfunctions. But honestly if you managed that with a laptop you are the ramsay of laptopowners.

You obviously loaded most of your data to only one half of the harddisk, so it can't spin evenly. Uninstall everything and make sure to spread the MB evenly when re-installing. *nods sagely* ;)
