Tyrell_like_Squirrel
If you could pick one villain, alive or dead, no matter how major or minor, no matter how awful and irredeemable, to somehow get a major redemption arc in the vein of Jaime and Theon, who would it be and why? For me it's Tywin Lannister without a doubt. Such a rich and interesting character, I'd love to have seen him somehow get the the chance to make up for all the shit he put his kids through. Some honest heart to heart with Tyrion, an acknowledgement of Cersei as strong in her own right, and a willingness to let Jaime be his own man. Idk, its all wish fulfillment, and a tad sappy, but some sort of redemptive arc with Tywin could be really cool. Any other ideas? Characters? Thoughts? BRANDON GREYSTARK
Jaime Lannister or Alister Thorne .
Bustard
Roose! Not the 'suddenly sympathetic' kind of redemption, but one that involves allying with a protagonist (forcing readers to view him in a different light.) So... Not exactly a redemption I guess... IdoTheChoombi
nah, roose would ally with the others if it comes to it :P my pick is cersei.

BalerionTheCat
I'm still wishing Alister Thorne to recognize Jon's values. He obviously had a hard life. And he wants the good of the NW. Littlefinger also. He does what he does because he is despised by lords who think themselves nobler than him.
King Tyrion I
Tyrion and Jaime both have their redemption arcs I'd say. Hm. Tywin. (He's not a villain IMO, though. That's my opinion. And that's fine.)

The Witch King of Asshai
None, I need as many villains as possible to entertain and amuse me. Roose, Tywin, Ramsay, they all need to remain as antagonists. That said, maybe Viserys and Alister Thorne. And Rickard Karstark (if he can be classed as a villain), I liked him prior to the child-murdering phase.Or Khal Drogo realises the error of his ways and becomes a Lhazareen Sheperd? Knight Of Winter
The thing abut redemption is that it doesn't come from nowhere. Characters like Jaime and Theon were already portrayed as conflicted and multidimensional before, as having seeds of doubt which would later blossom into full-scale (or part-scale, in some cases) self-questioning, wishing to better oneself and ultimately redemption. It works for characters such as them. It won't work for psychopaths like Roose or Cersei. As, for OP's question - I guess I'd pick Tyrion, for his character and its many layers are one of the most interesting things to read about. Mel would be pretty cool, too. Balerion the kitten
Tyrion. Which will happen, and penny will see him through it.an acknowledgement of Cersei as strong in her own right,Cersei isn't strong. The sole reason for her power is her (would say something a bit more offensive, but settling for a simpler word) vagina. She got the title of queen for sleeping with Robert. She got the kettlebacks to do what she wants by means of prostitution (and yes, she rewards them with sex if they do stuff for her).Has sex with Lancel so he can kill Robert, allowing her more power. And when she does get real power, it's through her son. And literally every plan she tries, every plan completely fails.Golden bank of lannisport, Jon's death, getting high sparrow's army on her side, framing margaery. Oh god. Cersei is not strong, and if she is its from being a women, which is exactly whay Tywin saw useful from her.Edit - typed golden bank of braavos. calo760
Littlefinger or Cersei Lannister, as it would be a dramatic change for the character..and could actually come to make sense... where as a redemption arc for Ramsay Bolton or Euron Greyjoy wouldn't make sense to anyone. There is no place for their redemptions anywhere in the story

rocksniffer
Tyrion and Jaime both have their redemption arcs I'd say. Hm. Tywin. (He's not a villain IMO, though. That's my opinion. And that's fine.) i agree KT that tywin wasn't a villian. not like ramsey the sadist bastard or cersei the insane regent... and i really also agree with the witch king in that we need antagonists they are what drive the story... so to answer OP...none...if everyone got redeemed the story would be boring just my opinions, as always feel free to disagree... :smoking:
Batbob45
Shitmouth-I want his redemption be working with Hot Pie since Shitmouth does have a talent for serving food. He is also not in Arya's list. He also hated Polliver.of any of the goons that work for the the villains, he the funniest and that not that bad of a guy.He could be a likeable replacement for Suggs.
