The town is known for its Cathedral and medieval town centre, including a jewish quarter. Given that it seems we will be seeing Sam's family next season (at least according to winteriscoming.net: http://winteriscoming.net/2015/05/27/game-of-thrones-season-6-casting-rumors-and-speculation/),do you think Girona could be Oldtown? The hairy bear Posted May 28, 2015 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I live in Barcelona, just an hour's drive from Girona, and I am really happy about the news. The old town of Girona would make for a great Oldtown, with its chaotic, narrow and uneven stony streets. And the cathedral could be cgi'd to look like the Hightower, I guess.
