Would we have Sam the Unsullied "Fat Rat?" instead of Sam the Slayer if Randyll sent Sam to Astapor?

Whatever training method Randyll had to teach Sam the way of the sword seemed to be very ineffective. Sam was still fat, which means he was still very much overfed. Also, most noble boys would already know how to use a sword at a young age. Randyll's training method didn't work on Sam, just like how Alliser Thorne's wasn't.

Now, what if Randyll already detected Sam weakness much earlier on, many years before, and thought of him as a lost cause... and sent him to Astapor. He wasn't going to be his heir anyways. He won't sell him since that would be illegal... just shipped him over there.

Years of training, where he doesn't have a choice BUT to learn the sword and spear, do you think Sam will come out as part of the Unsullied army that Dany frees? He may be known as "Fat Rat" and would be one of the weaker Unsullied.

Yes, I know Sam is clumsy and awkward but you have to realize that out of 8,000 boys, one of them would have to be clumsy and not fit to be a warrior, yet they come out as Unsullied. Part of their training regiment is to practice with the sword/spear from dawn to dusk. Everyday.

What do you think?

Sam is BY FAR, the biggest p*ssy in the series, and it is not even close.

if he did not die on the boat ride over, he would have been killed within the first 2 hours.

suicide would have been his best option at that point.

but he does not have the b*lls to do that, either.

this is a guy who allowed his younger brother to take his seat as Lord and should have been cut up and eaten at Castle Black.

he would have been more useful as meat.

LOL @ fat rat!

But seriously if Randyl had sent Sam to the Unsullied before he put on the beef it's likly Sam fails his training and dies. But it wouldn't of happened, ask Jorah Mormont what happens to Westerosi Lords who dabble in slavery.

I don't think in this situation Randyll Tarly is selling his son. I think he would consider it payment enough to be rid of Sam.
